Hi Justintime,

Sorry your sleep was bad. I hope your issues with the landlords  are going to be solved soon. Stress and worry play havock on sleep and wellbeing.

I read an article a couple of years ago about a study that was done with regard to side effects of tapering.  The one everyone mentoned was fear. Some had a few side effects,  others many more, but the one all patients had was fear. Fear leads to fight or flight as we all know. Flight provokes muscle tension.

I've had Paxil before. It saved my life when I had terrible health anxiety during the Diazepam taper. No bad side effects as far as I can recall. This time I hope it can help me with the neuropathic pain in the soles of my feet. As well as make me sleep better.

Hello to all,

Got just about 7.5 hrs of sleep, yet I still feel kind of tired.  A couple of funny things about my robot vacuum cleaner:  It picked up a USB cord and was dragging it around the house.  Also, we have two cats -- Mercury and Titan.  Titan does not like Creature ( the name we gave the vacuum cleaner).  He'll hide from it.  On the contrary, Mercury is curious about it and gives a what-in-the-hell is that look when the vacuum moves around.

TS, I'm glad that the Paxil works for you.  I take Effexor, but I'm not sure if it does anything good or bad.

That's pretty funny, I can picture it in my head. I see a cat running around trying to catch a cord being carried by a robot vacuum, like it's getting away from the cat.

I was put on various antidepressants over the years in my young age, all of them intensified my symptoms and made my anxiety and Tremors and everything way worse. I kept telling the doctors about all the side effects, and they kept blaming it on mental health problems instead of the meds.

I refuse to ever take pharmaceutical medicine again unless it's a dire need like bacterial infection or bone injury or flesh wound or something like that, but I just won't take anything for psychiatric reasons ever again. I really hope the best for you too, nobody deserves to suffer.

Good day all,

Justintime, you are wise to not take anymore pharmaceuticals again.  They sometimes do more damage than then help.  I agree they have a time and place.

Sad that the doctor's didn't listen to you concerning the side effects of antidepressants.  I was put on various ones after I was prescribed clonazepam and Ambien with side effects that I could not tolerate. My shrink was so adamant that I be on them, so I filled the script, which was listed with clonazepam and Ambien but never took them.  Doctors should listen to their patients.

R&R, your vacuum sounded like a pet dragging the USB cord around. ha  The name gave me a smile.

Funny one cat is curious while the other hides.  Animals do have different personalities like people.

TS, my thoughts about how Paxil helped you makes me think that your body really needed that medication. I am so glad it worked and hopefully

will again for you.

I slept around 5 hours.

Hello everybody,

Hope you all slept well.

My sleep was almost 7 hours last night. So, that's good. Woke up around 6 am. Couldn't get back to sleep. Slowly but surely a little nausea and stomach pain entered the scene.  Uff. Things improved after a shower and breakfast.

Wishing us all a nice Monday.

I'm glad you got good sleep, I woke up at 3:00 a.m. after only getting a couple hours of sleep last night. I don't know why my sleep keeps taking major turns, it goes from tons of sleep one night to hardly anything the next.

Good morning all,

Justintime, sorry to hear your sleep is still off. Hopefully you are back on track soon.

TS, seven hours is good. Too bad about the nausea and stomach pains.  Thankfully the shower and breakfast helped.

I slept for a little under six hours, but my deep sleep went up to well over an hour, so I feel better this morning.

It is snowing out, again.  Our dental appointments are not until tomorrow, so we won't venture out, today.

Take care,

NG

Hello,

Justintime,  that bad sleep really sucks! May it improve soon.

TS,  Happy for you.  What a difference a good night's sleep can make.

Glad you don't have to face those slippery roads today. Enjoy the winter wonderland from the living room!

Saw the recovery specialist again this morning. The orthopedic shoes and soles need a little fine tuning.

Had some dry-needling at the PT 's this afternoon.  Did my exercises again.

Decided to stop Paxil for now. I'm having awful headaches. Need to find out first wether they're caused by Paxil or by the new glasses.

Maybe I 'll give st. John's wort a try later.

Good morning/afternoon,

TS, the five hours of deep sleep with no pain sounds quite nice.

You are making headway with the ortho shoes and soles. That's good news.

I'm happy to hear you had dry needling and PT. Hopefully you will feel better, soon.

Sorry to hear about the headaches. Wishing you a day without pain.

I slept almost seven hours with an hour each of deep and REM sleep. I did my usual  multiple wake ups, but managed to go back sleep each time,  until 5 am.

Stayed in bed and did some PT and sit ups.

Time to start the day.

This thread is always interesting. I also had really bad headaches yesterday, and I usually never get headaches. It's almost as if it came out of nowhere, and then I saw this thread.

Also in regards to the hurting feet and orthos, I was also recommended to see an ortho because of my pins and needles and hurting feet. I never went though, I just recently in the last week figured out what the problem was. Whenever my body is lacking sleep, my muscles are not healed nor are they flexible. Whenever I walk on my feet with tense muscles and lack of sleep, I start to get bad nerve pain and do nerve damage.

The other thing I was doing wrong, I was getting these new shoes with tons of cushion instead of being supportive and flat and harder, and that was causing problems as well. Now I'm wearing Brooks "fast" shoes instead of "full cushion" shoes, and I'm not having much of a problem anymore.

Hello all,

Got in 7 hrs of sleep.  I'm still fighting a sinus infection.  That and the dry air have caused a couple major nosebleeds.  :tickedoff:

Hi,

RnR,  your sleep was good!

Sorry to hear your sinus infection is still bothering you. The nosebleads are bad too. I hope you're feeling better soon.

Justintime,  I 'm glad those shoes are OK for you. Glad you're doing  better after a good sleep.

I have always had "complicated " feet. Inlays since I was 9. These orthopedic shoes I now have are more or less OK. They support feet and ankles. But still there is pain in my soles. Some days are a bit better than others.

I slept 6,5 hours last night. Woke up a few times with my T-shirt soaking wet. Luckely I fell asleep again soon.

No more sleep after 6 am.

My headaches are gone. The stomach pain is much less. Must have been causes by Paxil,  I guess.

Enjoy your Wednesday. Take care.

Hi,

Quiet around here...

My sleep was OK last night. Not sure how many hours as it didn't look at my watch. But I guess some 6,5 hours. Even slept a little more after that.

Have a nice Thursday.

Good morning,

Yesterday my internet and TV went offline.  It was the result of cable being replaced with fiber optics.  Both my modem and router stopped working.

This morning, I noticed my Ring doorbell and smart thermostat are offline.

Our son came and spent around four hours last evening,  doing a factory reset on both the router and modem.  Today I will work on the doorbell and thermostat.

So on with life. ha

R&R, glad you slept 7 hours.

TS, 6.5 hours is not bad.

Like you, I've woken up more often this winter quite sweaty.  I toss the covers off and start freezing.  When I changed the sheets, I removed the light summer blanket to see if that would help, but so far it has not.

I wish everyone a great Thursday.

I agree; it's been quiet around here. I also noticed a trend of people being completely distraught and complaining on this website recently, I took a break because I was tired of listening to it.

My sleep was decent last night, but I still feel tired and delusional this morning. I need to get those extra few hours in sometime today so I can feel rejuvenated.

I've been debating going to the marijuana dispensary later again, but I try to avoid it these days because it delays my progress every time. It doesn't necessarily knock me back, it's just that however many days I decide to take a break from reality, is however many days I'm pushing off progress. It's kind of like a give and take situation.

Hi,

RnR,  7 hours is great!

NG,  last October I had the cable replaced by fiber optics too. To this day I still cannot connect my Solar panels converter to the router. So I 'm unable to track the daily power production on my app. The rest is ok.  Great that your son got things working again. Good luck today with your efforts. Hope you'll succeed.

Justin Time,  were you planning on using marihuana for sleep?  I just read an article about how marihuana messes with sleep by interfering with Rem- sleep. Same as alcohol.

Today's weather was mild enough for a bike ride. Glad to be able to be on the road again.  Had some minor adjustments done to my ortho shoes. Takes a little getting  used to again.

Enjoy what's left of your Thursday.

Solar panels and routers sounds kind of complicated, hopefully you get that figured out.

Yes I went to the dispensary and picked up some RSO (Rick Simpson oil), it still has all of the cannabinoids from the full plant concentrated into grams of concentrated cannabis oil. They say it cures cancer too, and RSO is the healthiest concentrated version of cannabis that you can get. I got a combination of different hybrids and indicas and sativas.

I do this from time to time. It really helps out for a couple weeks or however many days you want to take a break. I try to heal my nerve pain and achy muscles and get a mood lift. I also eat lots of healthy organic food from the farmer's market simultaneously, and then I get more sleep too (although REM still isn't any better with it, most likey the same). Sounds complicated, but that's why I say "taking a break".

Some people like it, some people don't. I have learned that it's not something you want to do long-term, it's just for a couple days or maybe a couple weeks max. Anything longer than that is definitely messing with your sleep patterns and your overall functioning in general (like all doctor prescribed pills too), and I learned that the hard way early in benzo withdrawal.

I plan on doing this for 3 or 4 days this time. I had a lot of stress in my life and I've been having really bad feet pain and nerve stuff going on, and it helps with that a lot. I can just lay in bed and feel no pain at all for the most part whenever I'm using cannabinoids. Here in Washington state it's completely acceptable from medical professionals and they agree that it's great medicine.

anyone has extremely fragmented sleep? like waking up after every dream (30mins)? I wake up like 10 times after a short 10 min dream? I have multiple dreams and i never fail to wake up after each short dream.

I used to be able to sleep throughout the night with just 1 or 2 dreams. Now i have fragmented sleep that adds up to about 3 to 4 hours a night, I'm exhausted but I haven't been able to sleep well or nap at noon.

Please advise if u have similar issues or sleep patterns

Good morning Ducktales,

Sorry your sleep is so fragmented.  I hope someone on here can be of help to you.

My sleep is fragmented too, but in another way. And nothing like yours. I fall asleep after some 15 minutes and sleep for a couple of hours,  sometimes even 4 or 5 hours. Then nature calls and I wake up. Most nights I fall asleep again. The last few hours of the night are fragmented.  But mostly because I wake up because of pain or nausea.  I find getting up for a short while can sometimes help.

Wishing you good sleep!

Happy Friday,

Justintime, I tried 1906 Midnight for sleep, a couple of years ago. It was my first time using pot. ha

Anyway, I was hoping it would help, but it didn't. My daughter in law's sister was quite knowledgeable and was the one who recommended I try it. She said to start with 1/4 of the chocolate piece, so I did. Nothing happened.  I upped it to 1/2 of the chocolate and finally ate a whole piece.  I could feel relaxed, but not enough to put me to sleep.  Eventually I consumed what was in the box before bed. One each night. The chocolate was quite good!

I am not sure why it did not work for me. I thought maybe my brain has changed from the long term benzo/Ambien use.

Last night I was able to finally connect my Ring doorbell. My Ecobee thermostat is still offline, so I'll work on that today. I spend a lot of time reading how to do things.

Ducktails, my sleep is very fragmented and has been since I tapered off of the meds. I typically awaken every hour or so and can usually go back to sleep early in the night, but find I lie awake more towards morning.  I am so far off benzos now that I assume this is how it is going to be.  It was a waste of time being frustrated.

On the plus side, I mostly sleep around 7 hours. It can go down and back up again, so I am happy.

TS, it sounds like fiberoptics isn't a good change for consumers. What is the point of having it, I wonder.

Your bike ride sounded nice.  I wish you more days being out and about.

Glad the ortho shoes are feeling better with adjustments.

Take care,

NG

Good Afternoon,

I got in 7.5 hrs of sleep.  Lots of weird dreams.  People I knew at various times and places in my life all coming together.  Like a mass reunion that makes little sense.

Hi,

RnR,  7,5 hours of sleep is wonderful!  Dreams are one of the strangest phenomena  known to man. Like fantasy to the 10th degree.

They are said to be very important as a way to create some order in our lifes.

My sleep was some 6 hours. Couldn't get to sleep as quickly as normally. Woke up just after 6 am. No stomach pain, but "heavy headed". Uff.  Shower and oatmeal put a stop to that luckely.

Went for an early walk as the weather was lovely, although only just above freezing. Visited my aunt. Went for a little drive afterwards . Met an old mate of mine and had a nice chat. Took a bike ride this afternoon. Visited a friend. And had a short walk before supper for good measure. Lol.

Have a pleasant Saturday.

Good afternoon,

R&R you are still doing well with your 7.5 hours of sleep. Keep doing what you are doing.

Dreams are interesting as you so well know! The various people you have known all coming together did make me wonder what that was about.  Like TS said, "Dreams are one of the strangest phenomena  known to man. Like fantasy to the 10th degree."

So well said, TS!

I hope the dreams were not disturbing and just time travel brought together while you slept.

TS your day sounded lovely! Another walk after visiting friends and your aunt was nice.

I slept 6 hours and 16 minutes.  I'll take what I can get.
