Good morning,

RnR,  a belated Happy Birthday!  May you have many more in good health!

NG, you story about the chocolate trying to kill you, made me laugh out very loud! Thank you for already making my day, and it's only 8,30 am. So glad you survived the attack. Also the description of your husband's enterprise made me smile from ear to ear, even though it's rather sad. You have a great way with words!

I slept 5,5 hours last night. Didn't get back to sleep. After a while i got stomach pain. Got up early to have breakfast. The pain disappeared.  Pfew!

On Tuesday I did some early Spring cleaning. I know...Yesterday my back told me not to do that again. Boy, did it hurt. This morning it's okay again.

Strong winds, high temps and lots of rain for the rest of the year, so I 'll sit it out, I guess.

Enjoy your Thursday.

Hi everyone,

TS, I am glad you laughed out loud. It is good for us to do that as often as we can! Life is short, I like to smile, laugh, and feel joy as often as I can.

That's great the stomach pain went away after breakfast.

Your spring cleaning sounds so nice. You really are getting an early start.  Sorry about your sore back, but happy to hear it is better after a night's rest.

My Thursday was nice. Woke up to a foot of snow on the ground. That was a great surprise. everything was a white winter wonderland.  I hiked out to fill one of the birdfeeders and bring in some snow covered firewood.

R&R, peppermint cheese cake is a new one for me, also. My thoughts are if it is cheese cake it must be yummy!

Seven hours is a good amount, but if you don't feel like it, them I hope you were able to get a nap.

AB, your car should not take long to spring clean. When I go to the drive through car wash, they have vacuum stations we can use before we drive out, so I do that.  They even have large trash cans to dispose of whatever you want to toss away.

I read about the clicking tinnitus and it could possibly be stress/anxiety. I tried to think of calming thoughts today and it has helped.

Tomorrow we are going with our son and his wife, plus her mom and step dad, to see the new Avatar movie. I am excited about going, as I was enthralled with the 3-D effects of the first one.

Take care,

NG

Good morning BB,

Sleep wasn't what I would like it to be. Lots of waking up and clearing my throat.. Can't be helped.

After the alarm sounded, I had a warm shower to try and ease the muscle pain,

Today it's been a year since I had my last bit of Paxil.

Could be I 'm going to take it again though, to lessen to neuropathic pain. Want to consult with my neurologist soon. SIGH!

Went for a bike ride yesterday. Strong winds! But, I made it home.

Took a walk twice. Lots of wind.

Have a fabulous Friday.

Good Friday evening,

TS, I hope you sleep better tonight.  The warm shower sounds so very nice.  Did it help the muscle pain?

Congratulations for your one year anniversary of being off of Paxil.  If it helps your neuropathic pain, then it might we worth trying again.

Glad you made it home on your bike with the wind blowing.

AB, Avatar the way of water was quite good. There was more action in the beginning than I liked, but I enjoyed the middle part. It really was a good movie and I am glad we went.  My daughter in law's family are enjoyable people to be with.  I like it that they understand my husband's behaviors and aren't bothered by his constant humming/mumbling.

Last night I slept around 3 hours. My mind was busy and would not shut down.

Sleep well everyone.

Wishing you all a wonderful New Year's eve! Stay safe.

Hope to hear from you again in 2023.

Does anyone have any New Year's Resolutions? If yes, what are they?

In the past I have often said my New Year's Resolution was not to make any resolutions.  However, this year my Resolution is to be free of clonazepam by the end of the year.

Happy New Year everyone!

My New Years Resolution is to also eat healthier this coming year.

Walk more, as that has been on hold with my IT-band syndrome.

R&R, I wish you the best finishing the clonazepam.

AB, same with you and eating healthier.

TS, good sleep you had last night!

See you next year!

Hi all,

I hope your new year is going well. The fireworks went off here last night, also..for long past celebrating. meh

Sleep is sometimes the only escape we have.  Same for me, along with reading books. I have to be careful to not read too much through the night. I finished reading, Boys in the Boat during the night.  It's about the Washington State rowing team who went to the Olympics in 1936.

TS, Lokkich Nijjier is a tongue twister for me but I'll try to say it.

Sounds to me like lokish Nijier..am I close?  Be honest!

Four hours is not much sleep. I hope you sleep more tonight.

R&R, your sleep was a little better for the festive late night explosions. ha

I slept around six hours.

Sleep well everyone.

Good morning,

Sleep was 6,5 hours last night. And deep at that!

My resolution is to snack less. I already eat foods that are good for you, becauseof my Fibromyalgia  The snacks are the culprits. We'll see what happens. I'm in no way overweight, my BMI is 22, but my waistline is a bit too much atm.

NG,  not bad for a first try!  Lokkich ( lok = luck) ends on a g-sound, a bit like clearing your throat. Nijjier ( new year) was great! So, you were quite close! Must be your Scandinavian roots.

Interesting that you read in bed. I never do, because it wakes me up. It's lights out and eyes shut for me. When sleep won't come or is interrupted, I get up for a few minutes and walk around in the living room. Works for me most of the time.

Hope everyone slept well.

Have a marvellous Monday.

GM everyone.

I think I got about 4.5 hours of sleep last night. The quality was poor IMO.

Hopefully, tonight will be better. Snacking has been an issue for me also TS. I need to stop doing this.

Try to enjoy your Monday everyone. I plan on hand washing my car today.

Good Monday afternoon/evening.

AB 4.5 hours if sleep is a little light.  My sleep feels poor when I don't get much deep sleep.  When I take Hydroxyzine, my deep sleep  goes way down and my REM goes up along with the tinnitus. I also get demented.

Why do I take the stuff? I feel bad sleep is better than little or no sleep.

After a week off of hydroxyzine, REM and deep sleep goes back to normal.  For some reason the tinnitus was worse on hydroxyzine than it has been since I started my taper.

AB it must be warmer where you are than were I am. There is five or so inches of snow on the ground and the temp is 30 degrees.

TS, thanks for the language lesson! I wish my Scandinavian roots did help!

As for reading in bed, initially when I go to bed and read, my eyes get heavy and I start yawning, so I put the book down and go to sleep in a few short minutes.

When I wake up later and cannot go back to sleep, I will start to read again. My books are paper with a clip on reading light turned on dim.

I become frustrated not being able to sleep and reading clears my head. If the thoughts return, after putting the book down, I start reading again.

Now and then I don't read after initially going to bed and I sometimes do sleep a little better.

I am glad that walking around helps you. I've not ever tried that.

Last night I slept six hours.

Hi there,

Last night my sleep was almost 7 hours. So, not bad.

This morning I saw the eye specialist again. She wanted to do a final check-up. All looks fine, she said. So, I got the all-clear.

It's been 6,5 months since the first surgery. Some people say cataract surgery is a piece of cake. I know better by now!

The crazy thing is my bad eye is now my good one. The good one has rapidly increasing cataract too. But the doc advised to postpone surgery on that one for the time being. Because of the extra risk of complications I have.

My back hurts even more than usual. Luckely I can do my exercises again, now that the eye is completely healed.

I hope you all slept like a baby,

Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday.

Hi NG, TS, and RnR. Good to hear about the 7 hours of sleep TS. That is a good number. How long will you wait before considering surgery on the second eye? I am also having some chronic pain in my lower back too TS. I can't even sleep flat on my back anymore. NG, we had a 4-day cold spell but the temp. has been great the last few days. It felt like Spring outside today NG.

I got almost 6 hours of sleep last night and the quality was fair so I will take it. I hope everyone has been having a great Tuesday.
