Absolutely GG! That’s why it was important for me to keep this thread going! I have read these poems and replies from my buddies here over again in my waves as well as when I’m doing ok…the result is the same being all I get from them is hope, joy, love, support and an anchor to make it through the day. Time As Our Friend

Many things are said to take time and that is very true

Seconds, minutes and hours can really get you through

While we are waiting, let’s just not sit there

Time is allowing this period for needed self care

Have you ever watched a bird on a branch singing to the breeze

Or took the time to take in different shades of all the leaves

Ever watched a child peek in the oven watching cookies bake

Time gave the reward of a taste which seemed so long to make

Not everything we go through or do has to weigh us down to the end

Don’t forget as it goes on that we will make it with time as our friend

So take that deep calming breath to let renewing flow through

Soothe ourselves with love as we are being made anew

When your world is in chaos then it’s time to go within 

Ease your mind with allowing a quiet moment be a friend

Cease the internal screams that’s all they want to do

Replace them with counting a blessing or two

Close your eyes and breathe with a slower pace

Greet the unwelcomed visitor with a smile on your face 

Tell that wave it can’t stay long for you must do chores

Although you know it came so you can heal some more

Thank God, I’m relieved that every wave must end

But until this one passes, I’ll meditate and go within

Wishes, Hopes, and Dreams for the Coming Year

 

My wish for you is a life that's content. May your days be filled with splendor and peace.

And your hellacious existence soon comes to an end, and your symptoms finally cease.

 

May the Lord's presence in your life be felt with every breath you take.

And know His loving grace will never leave you, of that make no mistake.

 

When you're troubled, turn to Scripture, the Stoics, and other sages.

And may you always find the truths embedded in their pages.

 

When you really need it, I hope you find sufficient patience.

And may you never find yourself a victim of complacence.

 

And on those rougher days, when you’re feeling melancholy or sad,

may your memory recall a time or two, when more pleasant times were had.

 

May you never lose your gratitude for the blessings you've been granted.

And steer clear of selfish envy, for it will leave you disenchanted.

 

And when things don't go as planned, there's no need to fret or worry.

God's timing's always perfect, so take solace, there's no hurry.

 

I hope you always find your joy and that it never leaves your heart.

And when success remains elusive, tomorrow grants you a fresh start.

 

May you always find forgiveness for the slights from friends and foes.

And may you always be forgiven for any offense you may impose.

 

I hope you never quench your thirst for a good book to read.

And may it provide the occasional escape, if that is what you need.

 

May you never find a time when you cannot find love.

And may you always be grateful that what you have is just enough.

 

When the seas of iniquity threaten you with tides you can't ignore,

May your inner moral compass lead you safely to the shore.

 

May veracity and kindness be your guiding lights.

And the virtuous existence always be within your sights.

 

I hope the Holy Spirit always lives within your soul.

For a person without faith, will never be quite whole.

 

May your failures and frustrations turn into hard lessons learned.

And all your efforts and endeavors lead to rewards well-earned.

 

When you see the joy of others, may it always make you smile.

And the warmth that smile radiates lingers for a while.

 

And remember to give glory to God in all that you do.

As it is through His love and grace, that all good things come to you!

Hello Healed Me

Well, hello there, healed me I’m happy for your survival 

Oh how patiently I’ve been waiting for your arrival

I see you skipping happily towards me coming down the road

With your arms weighted down with much joy as your load 

I’m busy making room as I spread out the red carpet for you

You are royalty and only the best of welcoming will do

See, you deserve your crown that glitters with rubies and gold

For you reigned with victory after victory when your life was on hold

The biggest battle you’ve endured even with your fears

Now you’ll enjoy the reward of peace for the rest of your years

That is me beckoning you to hurry for I have waited so long

I want to embrace you with a forever hug because you are so strong

So come on, healed me, I see you clearer each and everyday

Its just a little more while now when we finally can be on our merry way

We will put this all behind us but certainly we will never forget

How we won against a giant who found out he hadn’t seen nothing yet
