Good Happy Easter morning,

I hope everyone slept well or fairly well last night.

Congratulations on your 10 month anniversary, TS! I found Matthäus Passion on Youtube and did listen to it. The music was beautiful. I wish I could understand the words.

Congratulations to you, also, HM on your six month anniversary!

I did fairly well after deciding to change from my cozy flannel sheets to the cooler regular ones, when I went to bed.  I had to deal with the "chill factor" during the night, so sleep was a little disturbed.

I think I got in a little over 5 hours last night.

Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

Good morning, all!

Happy Easter to those who celebrate it:)

Last night was 4 to 5 hours for me and the night before about 5 to 6. Haven't had a 7+ hour night in over a week. I have been working more, so haven't logged in as much. Always thinking of you guys, tho!

Take Care

so after 2 ok nights, a bad night again.

so thankful i got a great Easter, a good solid block of at least 5 hours! maybe even 5,5. had a great day with my kid easter egg hunting and just being outdoors. the night before only 3 hours unbroken but was able to fall asleep 3 more times for little sleeps between 30 min and an hour, think I made 5,5 to 6 hours. Felt ok, both nights almost no hypnic stuff!

i should have slept great last night after being relaxed and outdoors all day, but I laid down and felt awake even though i was so tired. it took over 2 hrs to fall asleep (previous nights was super quickly again like my old sleep), i kept thinking you will see i will never sleep again (very helpful thoughts). then slept for 3 hours, awake for over an hour again... then 30 minutes (i hate those short "naps") then another hour full of nightmares about being a failure to my daughter (get to school too late, forget her lunch etc., teachers judging). I must have gotten about 4  to 4,5 ish broken hours but i feel completely exhausted and not refreshed at all, i can always tell from my face, my eyes look so glassy when i feel really sleep deprived.

my sleep has now been way less good for about 4 to 5 weeks, before that i had 6 much better weeks with way more 6 to 7ish nights. i did get the 5 hour blocks a few times thats at least something but i feel still defeated.

Hi,

Sorry to hear that, Heyilona. Let's hope your day is going to be a nice one. And tonight is going to be great!

I had some 6,5 hours of unbroken sleep.

Last week I did quite a bit of gardening. Turns out I got bitten by a tick. Again! It's the story of my life. Always taking precautions, but not enough, as it turns out. I won't take any chances and am going to ask my GP for antibiotics. Ugh!

Enjoy you Monday.

GM Everyone.

Good to hear you are getting some sleep HM, even tho it might not be what you would like each night.

Glad to hear you had a good Easter heyilona with your child. I recall those Easter egg hunts fondly as a kid. They were so much fun.

Good to hear TS. Keep it up. When you can sleep like this, you feel so much better the next day. Sorry to hear about the tick bite. I came close to being bitten by a spider yesterday. Yikes!

I think I got maybe 4 hours but I made the mistake of napping yesterday, so I knew the nap would adversely affect my sleep last night and it did. :'( :'( :'(

Hi all, I spent the night in the ER after experiencing left arm pain. The pain has been going on for 4-5 days, but last night it was worse.  Called my son and he and his fiancée insisted I call 911. They arrived not long after the first responders, fire truck and police arrived.  I said, oh they sent a fire truck, too. LOL

After almost four hours of ER blood tests and x-rays, a heart attack was ruled out.  I was quite relieved and happy.  The doctor who saw me suggested I had a pinched nerve in my shoulder.  We were back home around 4 am. Future daughter in law stayed with my husband.

I am to follow up with a cardiac specialist and have a stress test done.

TS, those ticks are relentless! We do not have them where I live.  Where I grew up they are everywhere.

Definitely get some antibiotics.

heyilona, you are have a rough time. Don't be so hard on yourself.  I've learned over the years, what was so important to me throughout my life, isn't as important now.  Life is so short, just think of what really is important and matters and let the rest go.

HM, hope  your sleep goes back up again.

AB, glad you are doing daily meditation. I did that during the height of my taper and recovery. It helps!

Take care,

NG

Thanks for checking in NG and glad to hear that you are ok. I had something similar to what you describe happen to me about 10 years ago. It turned out to be a pinched nerve.

Hi folks,

NG,

Wow, what a night you had! So happy for you it wasn't a heart attack! Such a big relieve. Good thing you weren't hosed down by the fire brigade...lol

How is the pain atm? I hope things calm down today. Get well soon.

AB,  sorry to hear your sleep wasn't too great. I have never been able to nap. Nor would I have wanted to nap. They mess up sleep. Hope your sleep is going to be better tonight.

Spider-bite, wow! Where I live the spiders are too small to bite humans. But other creepy crawlers galore! And they all seem to like my blood.

Enjoy what's left of your Monday and sleep tight tonight!

Wow, NG! What a scare! I have been to the ER before out of fear that something horrible was happening, only to find out it's not. I am so glad you're OK. That's great news! I hope you are OK from here out.

TS, Happy for your 6.5-hour night! nice:)

Heyilona, I am glad you are getting the 5 hours. That's enough to make it on. Good job.

AB, Congrats on your 5 hours too! That's wonderful! Slow, but sure.

I know a few of us are getting sleep but still feel tired. Just remember all the success stories of those that have fully regained their blissful, full nights of sleep. We will get there too!

Last night was another 4 or so hours of broken sleep for me. I am acclimating to less sleep. I sure long for the days when I could sleep 9 or 10 hours. I feel OK, though. I can function. That's all that matters.

Wishing you all an amazing day and a blessed, restful night!

Hi HM,

Sorry your sleep was too short and broken.

One week soon you'll have a series of much better nights! When we least expect it, things we want suddenly happen.

Trust your body and mind! We are strong!

Sleep well!

HI all,

AB, what did you do for the pinched nerve?  What I read was they can heal on their own.  I hope that's the case with mine.

TS, there were seven men in my living room.  Definitely a rescue brigade. ha  Thankfully they didn't bring their hoses in side!!

HM, it is good to walk out of an ER with nothing terrible having happened. That's good that you were okay, too!  I was so relieved. It was like I dodged a bullet.

4 hours then woke up, 1 AM, awake the rest of the night... did go to work but feel horrible. I am lucky I can work remote, they expect us in 1 day a week, if it was more I might have lost my job due to this benzo mess.

How do you all stay calm when youbare so sleepdeprived? I am like a sobbing panicking mess thinking each time I didnt get enough hrs to feel ok that this is it, I am forever fucked and I can never plan or go anywhere anymore wirhout it turning into a nightmare (I travlled overseas to visit family in month 3, big mistake I barely slept in 3 weeks, it was when I had many 0 nights).

I know 4 hrs isnt even the worst but I feel so sleepdeprived and in morning head thumps returned sigh.

Am I the only one who needs to hear EVERY day that this will pass... I can only relax and be positive when I had an ok night. Its been 10 days since I made 6 ish hrs... I was doing so well even in early march...

Nothing from what I can recall NG. It did get better on its own from what I can recall, but it took several weeks. The healing was gradual, not all of a sudden.

GM everyone.

I am with you heyilona. I got about 4 hours of sleep too and it was not good. I know hearing each day "that this will pass" gets old after a while bc it never seems to pass. Who wants to wait until we are dead and then get to sleep forever. :'( Many ppl have been off the drugs many years and still suffering horribly. It does discourage you at times. I am glad you are still at least able to work from home.

I feel pretty crappy this morning.  I don't get the bad sleep last night though. I went to bed at a decent time and did not nap during the day. Oh well....hope tonight will be better.

Hang in there HM. 4 hours suck. I think it was 4 for me last night, but it could have been a little less.

Good morning,

Thanks AB, that's good to know. I am glad you recovered from yours!  I hope I can keep mowing the lawn through the healing, as that was not the cause of the pinched nerve.

A heating pad and massaging my arm, helps with the pain.

I have good news. I slept 10 plus hours last night.  There is a light at the end of the tunnel, which gives me hope.  I gave in to sleep while watching TV last night and slept 1.5 hours, then went to bed and the rest is history. The ringing in my ears is not screaming this morning. The sound is so slight and only in my left ear.

heyilona, it is not easy to stay calm. It will get better and sleep will return.  Just hang in there and know you will recover.

My daughter gave me a signed book, for Christmas, from an author we both enjoy.  I was thrilled, but after reading the book, gave it back to her.  My bad, as it had been such an important gift for her to give to me.  On Easter, I asked if I could read the book again, as it has been a couple of years and I always enjoy re-reading my favorite books.

I told her that when I gave it back, it was because I didn't think I would survive not sleeping.  She looked at me with such a shocked expression, for she had no idea what I was going through during my recovery.

Know that time is a healer and you will heal.

Good day all,

healing, hope your four hours improves.  Do you go right back to sleep or lie awake for awhile?

TS, thank you for the good wishes! Your 7.5 hours was great!

I slept 7 hours and 45 minutes.  I'm definitely getting better.

For about a year, I took a supplement called: Vital protein collagen peptides hoping it would help my knee recovery.  A couple of weeks ago, I stopped taking it because it was not on sale and the price kept going up. Since then, my sleep has improved incredibly well. I'll not take that supplement again.
