James is truly one of the best if not THE best metal front man in Metal. This has been my fav band since the early days of 'Kill em' right up to Hardwired. They do what they want.

He's really become a great human as well. Really matured..........and man can they still kick azz!

Great post Estee

K time to kick it up a notch  >:D

In1970 this was kickin it up not one, but 2 or 3 notches! It still has 63 million views on youtube and you younger folks have probably never heard it. Listen all the way through and see how many metal bands these past masters influenced.

Used to listen to Deep Purple as a kid :) This song was actually released before I was born. I remember sitting with my cousin and singing along with Ian Gillan. That was quite a challenge! Ritchie Blackmore is one of my fav guitar players ever. Awesome keyboard and bass solo by Jon Lord.

I like both Black Sabbath and Motörhead, actually. Tony Iommi is one of the best guitar players ever. "RollingStone" ranked him 25th, which I think is a bit unfair. And he’s a real hero, considering how he overcame what happened to him. Some guitar solos are really difficult to play. Never have heard a really decent cover of Jimi Hendrix "Little Wing". My fav song by Black Sabbath will always be:

Black Sabbath "Paranoid" (1970): Vid & Lyrics

And to sum it all up nicely:

Nevermind the beer.

Do you play? I was in a band for 10 years. I told this early in the thread but you might not have seen it. We were The Yeast Infection because we were irritating and you couldn't get rid of us, lol. Cheesy I know but we were young. I wasn't willing to cut off my fingertips and you just can't get his trill without doing that! Jimi is one of my heroes.

As an amateur, really. I live in an appt. It’s impossible to play in an appt., cause of the nabes. Know many ppl who play/ed in bands. Including my husband. I haven’t followed this thread since the beginning. Registered like two years ago, but came here in July this year. I quit a professional photo site and was scared to come back to lots of benzos. Deleted my account there. That site was too time-consuming. All I did was shooting pix and evaluating others’ pix. The latter was very dumb. Similar to giving "likes" on Facebook. Jimi Hendrix is my fav guitarist of all time. I’m always on the lookout for great guitar riffs. If I find one, can listen for hours. I spend a lot of time in my Bose wireless headphones. The sound is great, one hears every note. What kind of music did you play? I’d gladly  listen to most songs in this thread. But I’ve got no time for it... Hey, I’ve googled your band!!!

Someone put some our early stuff on the internet. I was 16 when we started recording so don't expect much. One of these days I'll dig up some later stuff, much better.

Oh well. Gotta go nice talking to you and keep rocking!!

Yeah, will try to post stuff from time to time. I’m also into photography, so cannot post songs without pix. Takes a while.

I used to listen to this song first thing in the morning for years. The kings of hard rock/heavy metal.

Black Sabbath ~ "Hole In The Sky"

Yeah, I also put on headphones before even making coffee. This allows me to ignore the cat wanting her breakfast for a while. Great song

Sabbath is my band. I like a lot of genres but if I were stranded on a desert island give me Sabbath. Hell of a way to start the day- wake and bake! I miss those days. :(
