Oh, Man, that/they: amazing.  Weirdly, my adolescence come to life.  Is modern psychedelic a thing, now?  What have I missed in my old age?  WBB

There are so many underrated under ground bands and acts out there that get little or zero airplay. That's why I love surfing YouTube.

Hi All,

Well, another rock fan here.

Let me introduce this Guns N'Roses song by a Sanskrit proverb:

"Look to this day,

For it is life,

The very life of life.

In its brief course lie all

The realities and verities of existence,

The bliss of growth,

The splendor of action,

The glory of power -

For yesterday is but a dream,

And tomorrow only a vision,

But today, well lived,

Makes every yesterday a dream of happiness

And every tomorrow a vision of hope.

Look well, therefore, to this day."

Gn'R "Yesterdays" - you click on the dots in the bottom right corner to see the lyrics:

The "boys" are playing in Miami, FL, tonight. The next venue in Winston-Salem, NC.

Go see them if you like the band and are not crippled by agoraphobia.

The funniest thing is Axl once called Slash "cancer". The guy is quite imaginative. Never thought of calling that my greatest enemy...

GN'R played a 3-hr gig this Summer in my country, at the other end of the globe. Slash's guitar was perfect. Axl's voice not as good as it used to be. But still fine. Anyway, the sound system was totally screwed up. What a shame. I do hope it's better in the US.

Pearl Jam....pretty much any song/album. My fav band for many years now. Some of their music relates so much to how I'm feeling now it's almost hard at times to listen to some songs. Too emotional right now but their music has helped me through so much in my life!  :smitten: Can't wait for the day when I'm feeling good again and can just drive and listen to music again it's such a freeing feeling!!!

Yeah, Phil Lynott of Thin Lizzy was killed by heroin and alcohol addiction at the age of 36. On Jan. 4, 1986.

Maybe it's sometimes easier to listen to all those great guitarists and composers who haven't paid with their life for their talent and fame.

I didn't mind when I had no knowledge about addiction. I could listen to Thin Lizzy all the time. Thought booze was cool. Had a gun-shaped cig lighter. For the parties. How very moronic and absurd.

Slash somehow reminds me of Jimi Hendrix. The greatest guitar player of all time. Dead at the age of 28. On Sept. 18, 1970. There is no comparison. But whatever.
