You do realize they are grounds for a class action? They are not perks of the position. Brewed all you want, it's bean done before, of coarse, but that's fine with some people...the last time we did this, I roast to the occasion, mugged for the cameras, and poured my heart out...one lump or two...?     that's a nasty lookin brews...I filterrrible about it... enough...back to the grind.

Austin is the home of the annual O Henry pun-off contest...I take notes...

Sure was good to get 6 hours of nap-time in last night, but it was far better to wake up and find so many folks back in the threads!!!

I would seriously go stark raving bonkers ifn I didn't have y'all to turn to...i worry a little about you, tho', as you seem to just accept an imaginary horse, and go on about yer inspirational ways...

We ARE gonna make it...each and every one of us...with or without the ruby slippers...mine look like...well...clown shoes...  Couldn't have a better cuppa or roll or laugh if they were right there in front of me!!! Gotta go change out the feed bags and build a fire for the wandering Fluterlady so she can find her way back...anybody heard from her? Ah well, we are figments, Canada is real...sigh...tex

Darn right Canada is real! I can feel Fluter's vibes, even though she's on the other side of the country right now! We did hear from her early on, but I expect and hope that she's WAAAY too busy to get online. She's hopefully out there having nice adventures.

Anyway, you are definitely gifted with words, Mr Tex! And thanks for the encouragement and ruby slipper metaphor and all the rest. Lovely, lovely stuff.

OUTSTANDING, ET!!! GOTTA CONFESS, THERE ARE TIMES WHEN I THINK IF I HEAR ONE MORE PERSON TELL ME "IT'S GONNA GET BETTER" THEY WILL NEED TO SEE A PROCTOLOGIST TO HAVE THE SUGGESTION REMOVED FROM WHERE I WANNA PUT IT...BUT WHEN I LOOK BACK AT *THEN* AND LOOK AT NOW, I KNOW IT WILL ARRIVE...AND HEARING THE SUCCESS OF OTHERS ENSURES MINE ITS PLACE...HAVEN'T FOUND 'GREAT' yet, but i'M GOODER THAN I WAS...

Omigosh, Tex, you're hilarious! No messing around there! I think we get your drift.

I think it's so interesting to see how we communicate in this way -- online, not knowing each other, no real names given, etc. I imagine that if we all meeting up, we would be giving each other hugs, but "It's gonna get better" is a virtual hug. We only have words here -- no facial expressions, no body language, no eyes, no tone of voice. Well, I guess we sometimes use pictures and crazy little emoticons too! But anyway, I hope you get what I'm trying to say. I'd take "It's gonna get better" over "Give up" any day of the year. It's better than a kick in the pants, which, by the way, might also send someone to the proctologist!

You look "gooder" from here. I hope to be "gooder" soon. For now, it feels bad-ish.  :(

L-2, that wasn't meant as a rant, but more as a different form of tolerance withdrawal...my tolerance for all things is often severely diminished...including myself...but it is much better...ya know, early in the uglier throes of w/d, i just wanted people to shower me with love and attention and leave me the

f--- alone  i agree, i like the support, but i often wanted it, got it, bitched about it, and wanted more...Benzomanic behavior...

Y'know? The moment of pause you experience when someone asks you"Hey, how are you doing?"...and for that split second you think about telling them the unabridged truth? And then you take the short out answer which is "Oh, fine, thanks..."? It's those moments I think we all have, at times, that I was looking at...i have to laugh at myself...if nothing else, I beat others to the punch!

As for dimensions of caring...never found a better source of depth than I have here...a lot of the expression here is on a gut level, and the words are just letters organized in a way to create a mental image...since we know the anguish, we can read into the expressions, and the feeling is just as real as my waking every day with a question mark about how my day will unfold...I start assessing before I open my eyes, and and i start wincing before I'm thru the assessment...not necessarily because of how I feel right then, but how i expect to feel based on yesterdays...like I have some magical control over the picture  this place has been a lifesaver to me...and what I take from here goes straight to my heart. Well, yeah, sometimes it affects other parts of my anatomy, but there are different threads for different parts!
