4 hours then wide awake. I really miss that window. It’s amazing the difference in relaxation I felt during the window. After feeling bad for so long you forget what if was like to truly rest and you start to think of this horrible feeling as normal. It’s not. Thank god for the window as a reminder of what normal really is.

Good to hear your husband is doing well, NG.

TS, good to hear you are able to get out and ride your bike. Keep it up.

Hi  DBM,

I hope you"ll have another window soon! Feeling bad and not getting much sleep indeed isn't normal.

Hi nightengale,

Let's hope things stay OK with your husband.

Wishing you a nice day and a longer sleep.

DBM, I am sorry to hear your window has closed. The fact that you had such an amazing one is so very promising.

You are headed on the right path. Try to focus on the great feeling you had whenever you can.

My sleep is still mostly in the pits.  I initially go to sleep, but wake up after an hour and can be awake from 3-4 hours.  I read, listen to a sleep hypnosis on youtube, read, relax, with the hopes of going back to sleep for another hour or two.  I did finally sleep for another hour or two last night, so I don't feel completely awful and light headed.

I believe I will start feeling better again. I think in many ways, I have gotten somewhat better, but it is so slight and gradual that I don't notice it.

One thing that does happen when I sleep for 5-6 or more hours is my memory and thought processes seem somewhat broken.  I've noticed this enough times to wonder why.  I normally get one or two fairly good night's of sleep then I go back to 0-1-2 hours for the next few weeks.  It is a rugged cycle.

I feel like my brain works better on a few hours, seems less able to think and remember on more hours, but in some ways I feel somewhat refreshed.

On the 0-1-2 hours, I really do have to work at thinking about everything I do and feel more sluggish and always light headed.

On another note, I've been walking for 30 minutes every day and doing 25 sit ups 3-4 times a week.  My knee is totally pain free, but now my  De Quervain's tendinosis is coming back in my right wrist.  The hand specialist said I would need surgery after the second shot last January.  Originally he said I could have three shots, then changed it to two. I will discuss with him the possibility of having that one more shot as the 2nd shot lasted six months.

TS, I hope you are doing better with the pain.  Stay strong.

NG

I slept six plus hours last night.  Had popcorn for dinner and a scoop of ice cream around 8PM

Oh and a costco hot dog for lunch. LOL

Bonty, sorry you didn't sleep. Stress really does a number on our sleep.  Hopefully you had a better night last night?

Way to go, NG! I might try that diet.  ;D

Torturous night for me. I don’t even know the hours. Very light and broken with the exhaustion vibrations upon waking.

Seems like I’m in a good/bad/good/bad pattern, I hope at least. It’s much better than the constant bad pattern I’ve had for so long.

Hi folks,

So sorry to see some of you are still having problems with sleep. All we can do is hope and pray for things to improve.

My sleep is still OK, although it has changed a little lately. I tend to sleep lighter, but do go back to sleep right away, thankfully.

Still some 6 to 6,5 hours. My fatigue upon waking up, has been gone for a few months now. Overall I feel much better. The health anxiety and nausea have gone too. That makes so a huge difference!

I carefully started to pick up my old life again, well, parts of it anyway. I go fishing again, go for a daily bike ride, do the smallest bit of gardening. The pain in my feet is my biggest issue at the moment. Hope that will improve too.

Stay strong, everybody. And never give up hope.

Sounds like you’re doing better, TS. That’s great.

3am wakeup with adrenaline surge and sweats. Severe fatigue now. Very debilitating.

Hello DBM,

So sorry you're suffering again after a better spell.

I do so hope you'll sleep better again soon. That exhaustion is a horrible thing. But things can and will improve. I've have times, not even that long ago, when I thought things were only getting worse, but thankfully I'm doing much better the past 2 months.

There still are issues, but I have to stay hopeful those will improve, given time.

Hold on.

Last few nights have been brutal, I’m doing a slow micro taper every other day but I’m still having difficulty, it’s insane, I can’t keep going slower and slower so hope this passes, I’m amazed at my sensitivity to this dang drug, the insomnia is my only symptom but i feel like it’s the worst one to have :(

WPWP I do understand what you are going through, as I've been on the same rocky road.  Maybe consider holding for a few days until you feel a bit better.  I preferred doing that over cutting less.  You are getting there, so hang on.

Last night I slept another six hours.  The night before the phone rang at 9:23. I was not yet asleep, but did not get up to to see if it was my mother. I knew my husband would let me know if my mom had called that late.  I then could not go to sleep at all. When I checked in the morning, it was from a place called Dynata. Google said it was a research place.

The day was a wash, as I was often lightheaded.  Today I feel better.

Back down to another hour or so. Uff

My sister called and said she would ask Mother to give me her half of the farm home. Not the land, we'll still share that. I was going to buy her half out, but this was a wonderful gesture on her part.

The house, barn, etc., was built my my great great grandparents in 1865, so it's old. Two remodels happened when my parents moved in and again in 1970 when they added on to the dining room and built an attached garage.  That's been it, as my dad died suddenly in 1971.  My mother enjoys having money rather than spending it.

Now I am stressing about the logistics of remodeling the home from 600 miles away and being there while everything is gutted and re-done.  I wish I was 20 years or even ten years younger.

Hi,

Last night my sleep was better than a few nights in a row.

After doing a small cut last Sunday, I first felt it on Thursday, Friday was a better day again. But yesterday was awful: headache, stomach pain,  colon pain, nausea, muscle pain, fatigue. Too miserable to do anything.

This morning is a bit better, I got a few groceries,  but the nausea has come back. I' m going to hold again for a long time, maybe even forever.

Nightengale, sorry your sleep is so bad again. Hope it will improve soon, you deserve It!  We all need a proper sleep to be able to function.

Hold on, everyone.

7 hours for me. Pretty loud tinnitus this morning plus fatigue. This is a huge relief after going months and months with the 4am wakeup.

Thanks, NG. Last night was 4 hours and sick fatigue plus tinnitus today. It was rough. I’m hoping that I’m getting to the up and down stage when it comes to sleep. Anything is better than constant 4am wakeups.

Hope you are well.

Hi,

Glad to see some of you are getting better sleep. Hope it may continue to get better.

I was hit by a brutal wave last week. Feeling very sick at the moment. Ugh!

Thankfully sleep is still OK.

Wishing everybody good health. TS.

Good morning,

Sorry to hear you are in a brutal wave, TS.  Hopefully you can "wade through" this soon. I am happy to hear you are getting some sleep.

My sleep is so so.  Last night I slept through for 2.5 hours, which is rare. When back to sleep for another hour, then could not sleep after that.

At least the night started off with some sleep.

Hang in there.

Last night I slept at least six hours. It was heavenly. I woke up after an hour, then slept another three and back to sleep again.  I did wake up at 4 for the day.

Yesterday I also took a much needed nap for over an hour. For the first time in weeks, I didn't have to struggle to keep my eyes open through the evening.

My meal was once again a costco hot dog for lunch and a small bowl of popcorn for dinner. Lastly, I had a scoop of ice cream an hour before I went to bed.

Go figure...

Hi nightengale,

So happy for you! I suppose you must feel marvellous today.

Perhaps you struck gold with your diet. Who will tell?

I am feeling  so much better today. A lot of symptoms are leaving or have already gone.

Let's hope I "waded through " this wave, as you put it. Can't wait for another window to open up.

Wishing you and the others on here a nice day and wonderful night.

NG, I’m seriously going to have to try that Costco diet! Hahah

5.5 hours. Tinnitus, of course, some fatigue, dead looking face.

DBM, I've tried to eat a healthy diet for the most part. I would cheat on eating peanut M&Ms now and then.  I gave those up thinking they caused my RLS/muscle spasms.  I am baffled by the sleep I get that night after eating lunch at Costco . It's a big enough hot dog I'm not hungry for dinner later on.

I don't plan on "eating a regular Costco diet"  but I will pay attention to my sleep patterns when I do!

5.5 hours of sleep sounds quite okay.  The fatigue not at all, however.

My face looks dead quite often.  Now and then it brightens up and looks like it used to.

TS, glad you are feeling better. Having those symptoms go away is paramount! You deserve this!

NG
