Great song, great vocals, great energy...

"Circle of Life" by Elton John:

Also, it comes from fun movie that you might want to watch if you need a little boost!

BEAUTIFUL!

Was able to see the play in London several years back.

loved it.

The opening vocal chant of that play is electrifying no matter how many times I hear it. Good call, my friend! I can't wait to get out into the world again -- live music and musical theatre will be high on my list of things to do again.

That play is amazing:  the story and the music.

I feel the same way about getting back out there and enjoying museums, plays, live music!

So enriching and takes one away...  :smitten:

Excellent song too! Just listened to those guys last night, as a matter of fact.

Another Paul Simon tune -- this time, with an awesome Brazilian drumming group:

The Obvious Child

Thanks, BBs, for the musical treats! I'd never heard of Janiva Magness until a few minutes ago. Beautiful, heartfelt blues. I'm feeling pretty blue today with my floaty-boaty dizzness, so it might be the right musical soundtrack for my day. I think I'll check out the other buddie's gospel selection next. I think it's one of those days to just "get through" and music might help me do that.

I'M SORRY TO HEAR THAT YOUR NOT FEELING WELL!

THOSE DARN DIZZIES CAN BE THE WORST. RIDE THE WAVE TO SHORE AND IN THE MEAN TIME LET CALMING MUSIC HELP YOU GET THERE.

FEEL BETTER SOON!

Hey Fluter, thank you so much for the lovely, warm wishes! It's such a cool thing, this BB! Someone I don't know is wishing me well from across the miles. Nice, nice, nice!

Anyway, last year, and long before I joined BB, I put together a "playlist" of "Music for a Dizzy Dame" (that's me!). It consists of songs whose titles relate to this boat-like rocky dizziness that is so characteristic of benzodiazepine withdrawal. I've got almost 125 tunes listed, e.g. Rock On, Dizzy Miss Lizzy, Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On, Rock Me Gently, Ride The Wild Surf and Come Sail Away! It was a fun project, and it kept me giggling for awhile. But this sensation isn't funny at all. It's brutal.

I can't wait until it's over.

Thank you once again for brightening my day with your caring words. Time for some more music.

Best wishes to you too and to everyone,

Lapis2

Lapis, my rockin' buddy.  Cut it out!  I already told you my sense of humor ends here, and now you've gone and made me grin!  :nono:

PS - You forgot "Sway" - Dean Martin/Michael Buble.

Okay, enough now, I adamantly refuse to partake in this collection!  :tickedoff:

Yea, Flute, you're right, Ins likely does moonlight as something or other in the music industry!  ;)

Awesome! A new addition to my list! Thank you very much. There are now 125 songs, up from 124. Sorry (not really!) to make you grin, but it's a necessary part of healing. It's the yin to the yang, and if we don't grin, we're doing to be doing what I've been doing a lot of recently.

Hey, we could start a "Crying" playlist!

Okay, naw, second thought....not a good idea.

Cheers.

Hello Lapis, Fluter and abcd!  I missed  the party.  GREAT PLAYLIST going here! :thumbsup:

With regard to this musical 'thing' I have going on, who knows...maybe I should be a promoter.  At the very least,

write some type of music appreciation book - or write reviews of new artists/songs.

For now, I'll stick with the DJ gig (you guys found me out).    Hate the hours, but I'll sacrifice sleep for music!

Love and many more days of great music for all!

Ins :smitten:

by the way, Lapis, really like your name  :)
