"I'm Alright" - Kenny Loggins

Lapis,

I'm not trying to break up the band; it's that I came across this great song and had to post it!    ;)

Thank you, for the hugs!

Hey Duckie

Hope you're doing well today.

Hugs for you,

Ins :smitten:

Evening Ins

It is my bedtime here ::)

My migraine is still here in the back ground

But you might as well know

I am now free from the clutches of my psychiatrist

I have waited almost 5 years for this day

And it is finally here :)

So more celebrations I reckon to come

My birthday yesterday and this today

What more can a Duck ask for

Well there is one stop prescribing benzo.

Sadly it will never happen

So I am going to go and try and sleep.

Hope all is okay with you Ins and to all.

One day at a time.

Hey Duckie et al,

Nice to meet all of you -- whether on this side of the pond or the other! I've got Kenny Loggins playing while I write, and I'm thinking of how nice it is to meet a few other folks who are on the same wavelength.

Cheers to you all!

So, today I watched and got goosebumps as a Canadian soldier was laid to rest in a very moving procession and church service. One of the speakers recited the words from Ecclesiastes and of course, I had the song going in my head..."To everything turn, turn, turn...."

Duckie,

You are so courageous and have been through so much.

Everything you've been through, Duckie, all of the pain and suffering - I'm so sorry.

You are so sweet and kind; you have such a giving heart.

Always, always know that you are an inspiration.  Never be ashamed of your story - never.

While the struggles I'm sure have caused you many tears - today, today - you are free from

so much of what has caused you pain in the past.

Holding you from across the miles - wiping away your tears - and letting you know how very special you are.

Love,

Ins

Keep putting one foot in front of the other, my friends. "The thousand-mile journey begins with one step."

I'm pretty new here, and I'm not familiar with everyone's journey, but it seems we're on the same path.

For those who like awe-inspiring a cappella vocal performances from some of England's best, here's June Tabor and the Oysterband with "Bright Morning Star" from a cathedral in Gloucester:

It always reminds me to breathe deeply. It's so soulful and moving. Hope it touches you as well.

I always liked Dan Fogelberg, Leader of the Band and Run for the Roses.  Beautiful songs.  I have slow ISP, so can't link to Youtube.

Also, Todd Rundgren,  Hello, It's Me.  I think that's the title of that one hit he had.

These are all great musical memories! Thanks, Everyone.

Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam is coming to my city, but of course, there's no way I could go. He's one of my top musical choices of all time. Thank goodness for youtube with its live performance videos. I can put it on the full screen and use my best visualization skills to take me there.

"Miles From Nowhere", and "Father and Son" by Cat Stevens, live.....(Check out the cool 1970s hair and clothes too!!):

Hi Gardenia

I wasn't aware that Dan Seals had died until I read your post.

What a loss;he was a great musician.

Also, I was unaware until now that he was part of the duo England Dan and John Ford Coley.

He left a lot of beautiful music for us to enjoy.

Hope you have a good day.

Hugs

Ins
