Anyone take a prednisone (steroid) shot while taking valium?

I have got an awful upper respiratory infection.  I am able to take Keflex, but it doesn't seem to be working very well.  The Dr. wants me to come back in a get a prednisone shot to help clear up the congestion in my head and chest.  I have had these before and they worked wonderfully, but I was not tapering valium at that time.

 

Any thoughts on the subject?
