I love Billy Joel Glass Houses Album and the song It's still rock and roll to be and Pressure! I also love Def Leppard's Pyromania! Ha ha ha! Who can not like ACDC (guilty pleasure) You shook me all night long? LOL

I confess to MANY closet oldies... But if you are talking older than that then anything Beatles, Disco, Funk, or 3 Dog Night!

Oh... and pointer sisters JUMP. Yeah embarrassing but such a feel good song! LOL Van Halen JUMP also! Ha! Ha! All fun to hear again... Really good music, I'd say Mazzy Star. Cranberries and Morrissey  (Smiths) too...

Ohhhh the memeories..... 8)

Oh Sunny, Did you forget THE SWEET -Ballroom Blitz, perhaps!!! Lol

Just Joking, They are before my time...

Be Well

I would not say this is my favorite, but I think it describes many people here. Anyway, I love her music.

Poor Poor Pitiful Me. Linda Ronstadt.

Reminds me of the young Alex Chilton while he was in The Box Tops. He was always so melancholy and serious, yet the video is so funny, since the other band members were laughing and even managed to get him to crack a smile a few times  :). Especially the moment at 0:52. Precious. Not my favorite song of his, but it's his work with Big Star and his solo work that made him a legend and influenced so many new bands and musicians down the line. RIP, Alex.

Wow I forgot about that band but not the song! Great blast from the past, LF.

I like this one. It is an indirect clue to what American Pie is all about. That's a great tune too!

The Byrds. Eight Miles High.

I wished I lived in this time and place (any place like it). Brings tears to my eyes. I bold faced the best verse I ever heard.

When morning comes to Morgantown

The merchants roll their awnings down

The milktrucks make their morning rounds

In morning, Morgantown

We'll rise up early, with the sun

To ride the bus while everyone is yawning

And the day is young

In morning, Morgantown

Morning Morgantown

Buy your dreams a dollar down

Morning any town you name

Morning's just the same

We'll find a table in the shade

And sip our tea and lemonade

And watch the morning on parade

In morning, Morgantown

Ladies in their rainbow fashions

Colored stop and go lights flashing

We'll wink at total strangers passing in

Morning, Morgantown

Morning Morgantown

Buy your dreams a dollar down

Morning any town you name

Morning's just the same

I'd like to buy you everything

A wooden bird with painted wings

A window full of colored rings

In morning, Morgantown

But the only thing I have to give

To make you smile, to win you with

Are all the mornings still to live

In morning, Morgantown

Morning Morgantown

Buy your dreams a dollar down

Morning any town you name

Morning's just the same

Morning's just the same

Here's one for the moms.

Rod Stewart  "Forever Young" :smitten:

Oh wow YES!!! I can't listen to this without getting weepy. It's so raw and gritty. The music video is powerful stuff too.

https://youtu.be/1T9apksOv6k

Lyrics

May the good Lord be with you down every road you roam.

And may sunshine and happiness surround you when you're far from home.

And may you grow to be proud, dignified and true.

And do unto others as you'd have done to you.

Be courageous and be brave.

And in my heart you'll always stay

May good fortune be with you, may your guiding light be strong,

Build a stairway to heaven with a prince or a vagabond.

And may you never love in vain.

And in my heart you will remain

And when you finally fly away, I'll be hoping that I served you well.

For all the wisdom of a lifetime, no one can ever tell.

But whatever road you choose, I'm right behind you win or lose,

Forever young

I like this version of Forever Young by Bob Dylan.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NuYqL-uzMes

May God's bless and keep you always

May your wishes all come true

May you always do for others

And let others do for you

May you build a ladder to the stars

And climb on every rung

May you stay

Forever young

Forever young

Forever young

May you stay

Forever young

May you grow up to be righteous

May you grow up to be true

May you always know the truth

And see the lights surrounding you

May you always be courageous

Stand upright and be strong

And may you stay

Forever young

Forever young

Forever young

May you stay

Forever young

May your hands always be busy

May your feet always be swift

May you have a strong foundation

When the winds of changes shift

May your heart always be joyful

May your song always be sung

And may you stay

Forever young

Forever young

Forever young

May you stay

Forever young
