You may believe that you are responsible for what you do, but not for what you think.

The truth is that you are responsible for what you think, because it is only at this level that you can exercise choice.

What you do comes from what you think.

- Marianne Williamson

I like this a lot. And it reminds me of this:

I am responsible for what I see.

I choose the feelings I experience, and I decide

upon the goal I would achieve.

And everything that seems to happen to me

I ask for, and receive as I have asked.

First we desire a Certain belief, a way of looking at reality...then invest in that faith.

It's something I've thought of a lot recently, like I mentioned. I kind of forgot all about this during my taper...

It's re establishing values and choices again.

I think the underlying matrix of my beliefs about reality has somewhat been warped in the past year or so. Nope, I Know so!

The ego is probably why we chose pain.

And with that , I Like this image

I hope this makes sense ,  :)

Fluter, What a beautiful poem.  8) I just know, that is exactly the way you feel about us, because YOU are loved and appreciated, just the same. Love tends to come back around. :smitten:

THANK YOU SNOWY,

THAT IS VERY NICE OF YOU TO SAY!

I HAVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT YOU, AND WONDERING WHERE YOU WERE.

HOW ARE YOU?  ARE YOU OKAY?

YOU ARE REALLY MISSED WHEN YOUR NOT HERE!

YOUR FLUTER FRIEND  :smitten:

Hi Fluter. I'm here. I'm fine.  :) I just become so captivated by all the beautiful stuff people write here, I'm at a loss for words sometimes. 8)

Wishing You, Ins and everyone here a peaceful day.  :smitten:

Snowy :)

Really nice, Moo.

It really is a process of re-establishing and making choices.

I love this image you've chosen:  reminds me of the layers of emotions we work through . . .

Thank you, for sharing this!

Morning Ins and all Visitors...

Yes, I like that imagine too. It's like shedding stuff from the mind.

She sure looks like it is a good feeling, doesn't she ?

Would that be great to feel peaceful like that and letting it happen, letting it all go?

Hi Moo,

Yes, I love the symbolism of working through the layers of emotions

Such a powerful image and great to think about just peacefully letting go "letting it happen"

as you say.  Love that.

You're doing so great on your taper, Moo.

Getting so close.

Hope you're feeling as well as possible.

Hmm,yes...getting very close. I thought odd be more excited .. But it doesn't feel like it.

Letting it happen.

Depression feelings seem to set on more , the lower I went. But that could just be some impossible circumstances right now, too.

Either way, appreciate it. And hope your day is as well as can be.

I'd like to have a manual , please, for letting go... ::)

Many of us spend our whole lives running from feeling with the mistaken belief that you cannot bear the pain.

But you have already borne the pain.

What you have not done is feel all you are beyond the pain.

Yes! Running from the pain...

Sometimes we don't even know what's REALLY causing it. The only way to found out and work though it is to try and be quiet and find out. It's very hard, the reality. But better than running from what might not hurt you anymore...

That could take a lifetime.

Thank you for this.

So true!

If I wouldn't run I wouldn't end up in this benzo prison. Taking the shortcut was not a good idea...

I'm not staying it is easy. I find it very very challenging to face my fears and mistakes. It's a deeply sad feeling to realize some things happened and you can't ever make it right.

Facing ourselves might be the hardest thing to do. But it will be worth it.

I feel now is the time to do it, though. After this journey off benzos. Maybe that was the meaning of all this. Who knows?

I strongly believe there is a deeper meaning behind all this! I'm in the middle of my journey and by now I'm sure that I will rise as a better, stronger person!

There is stubbornness about me that never can bear to be frightened at the will of others.

My courage always rises at every attempt to intimidate me.

- Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

I must say a word about fear.  It

is life's only true opponent.

Only fear can defeat life.  It is a

clever, treacherous adversary,

how well I know.  It has no

decency, respects no law or

convention, shows no mercy.  It

goes for your weakest spot,

which it finds with unnerving

ease.  It begins in your mind,

always...so you must fight

hard to express it.  You must

fight hard to shine the light of

words upon it.  Because if you

don't, if your fear becomes a

wordless darkness that you

avoid, perhaps even manage to

forget, you open yourself to

further attacks of fear because

you never truly fought the

opponent who defeated you.

- Yann Martel, Life of Pi

Fear's Amazing Statistics*:

40% of what you worry about will never happen

30% of what you worry about or fear are things that happened in the past and can't be changed

10% of what we worry about are considered by most to be insignificant issues

12% of what we worry about are issues about our health that will not happen

This means that 92% of what we fear or worry about will never take place
