Woe is me...again. My son was here and gone...again. Back to college, back to his life. It's so bittersweet, really. I feel such a mix of pride and pain...searing soul pain, a homesickness feeling-and yet, Im home, and he's not...

I love everyone's quotes! As Ive said before, I usually come by here everyday for nourishment! 

 

Ins The quote about night--I was thinking of something similar when I went to sleep last night. It's such a beautiful way to put it. Quotes are little snippets of poetry to me. I just love them.

 

Yes, my dears, our kids have to go their own way. Ill be fine again, takes me a couple of days. I also think of my mom who always tells me that she'd get used to me being there, then I'd leave and it was hard. My grandmother was the same when her children would visit and leave. I remember my son being a toddler and the days just seemed endless, in a good way, mostly. I'd think I had all this time, couldnt imagine he'd grow up! Then wham, he's a man!  Bittersweet...
