RIP Sid Vicious (1957-1979). Wish you could play that bass guitar like a pro. If only you lived a little longer and the chick Nancy had never crossed your path.

Don't get me wrong, that's a great album. But I always felt like it could have used a little more cowbell.

Cowbell?  What is that?

Hi Becky. Happy to see you here.

Unfortunately the entire SNL sketch is blocked in Europe. But here's some clips assembled that might give an impression. It's a shame the entire sketch isn't available there.

Little Green Bag was released in October 1969, but charted in 1970,
so I decided to post it in Songs of the 70s. Interesting fact:
the original title and lyric was "Little Greenback" as in US dollars,
but the single was titled "Little Green Bag" by mistake,
so they just kept it that way. Then, famously, in 1992,
it was used over the opening titles of Quentin Tarantino's
hit shock-thriller film, Reservoir Dogs.

It's a great little song, especially as performed by George Baker
with his unique voice. And of course, nobody's sure what it's about.
