taper to 8mg disapam daily

I have been taking benzodiazepines for about 1 year and started tapering off in January 2023 on 40mg of disapam and have now reached 8mg a day, but it seems that it is really difficult now to just take 1mg off my tapering so I need some help with some has experience and good advice

You've come to the right place for information and support to help you with the rest of your taper off diazepam (Valium).  Congratulations on coming so far.  It's not unusual to need to slow down as you get down to lower doses.  It often makes sense to make smaller cuts and hold for longer.  We encourage members to be flexible rather than adhere to a strict schedule and listen to their body - symptoms will let you know if you need to slow down.
