I would recommend avoiding anything that impacts the GABA system.  People coming off gabapentin experience some similar symptoms of benzo withdrawal.

I cut out my pregabalin about 4 months off benzos and can say the withdrawal symptoms are very similar so I feel like there's some kindling. Also there is definitely withdrawal from pregabalin or gabapentin. Personally I'd avoided if you can.

Gabapentin is just as miserable with withdrawal as benzos, in my opinion will kindle
