Copyright, I'm sure.  Someone posted another link to it (different copy, different YTube member), can't remember which thread it was on, so not sure whether that video's still up but maybe if you keep searching Youtube periodically, someone else might try and upload it.

They finally start talking about this and even people desperately trying to see it cant because someone owns the copyright. More people will start this stuff or not quit in time or not warn someone else because of delays over $$$$

There is no urgency.

Here's another Dr. Oz episode on benzos. I've just watched the beginning so far:

https://www.doctoroz.com/episode/why-are-so-many-people-overdosing-anxiety-drugs

Looks like it has an addiction focus.

yeah he had everybody focussed on the ease of taking them and party use to become like zombies and people giving them to friends for smoking cesation anxiety etc...nothing in those 3 minutes about their real danger or side effects or long term etc

bummer

Keep watching...it runs much more than that first three minutes. There are a few more segments after that first one, so when the first one ends, just wait a few seconds for the next one to start.

yall seen the horrilbe Dr Phil "benzo" clip ...looks like he's trying to get some $$$ from Pfizer on the benzo platform, instead of telling the truth from the patients and families like Lisa Ling's show is doing.

I watched this and now I am more confused.  She says she craves benzos??  That's like craving arsenic!!!  That's great her life is so lovely now but she didn't speak to the process of getting there.  I am super impatient with this ignorance.  Hope Lisa Ling can bring a clearer message.

Yes, I really disliked this episode on benzos. Awful! An "interventionist"??!! Holy Crap! This woman's situation doesn't reflect what many of us have experienced. It likely perpetuated a certain amount of disinformation about what is going on with the over-prescription of -- and under-education about -- benzodiazepines.

I'm glad this woman is doing so well, but it just seemed so unrealistic to me. It felt rather staged, actually.

Well, I'm not sure what to say about that. I'm not a fan of Dr. Phil and the whole sensationalist psych-on-TV thing, so I guess I already brought that feeling to it while watching. Of course, I'm glad this girl is doing okay, but again, the focus here is "addiction", so I can't relate to the story. Maybe those who see it will learn something from it, but it doesn't help to tell our stories at all.

Thanks very much for posting that link, though. I appreciate the chance to see it.

yeah he's a turd in a suit. made me angry to see him sponsored by Pfizer and jumping on Lisa Ling's benzo bandwagon while the topic is hot...gess he got to smelling the money off of Dr.Oz's show with her on it and decided he'd make his quick 10 minute fortune on it. i dislike that man very much.

I watched it, too, Lapis. I admire Dr. Wright for doing this!!

It's too bad the word addiction has gotten way too much airtime. It takes away the doctors' burden, where it should be, and puts it squarely on the patients' shoulders. Dr. Oz led the way with the word addiction, and others followed suit.  >:(

Here is an ADDICTION SPECIALIST benzo wise medical doctor explaining that this is a neurological injury (and thus should be rebranded as such) and touching on the reason why it is crucial to use the proper language when talking about the damage these drugs can do

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-HTxbVlAn4

I talked to Dr. Wright on the phone last week. He's a great resource and an awesome person.

This is the guy who, when I emailed him, gave me his cell phone number. I still don't have words for how much that meant to me.

WOW. that's compassion! how very rare.  :-\
