Just a few weeks after  being CT from Ativan and 2 ADs, then given 6 days of massive amounts of Librium and then a whole LOT of other drugs cuz I wasn't sleeping (duh)

After 2 weeks of coming home I am at the ER because my limbs won't work and I cannot walk.

 

My hubby: she was given way to many drugs especially benzos.

 

Me: I'm in withdrawl! Please don't give me ANY benzos, but have you seen this before?

 

ER doc: I've never seen this before we will do some blood work

Later comes back....

 

ER doc: blood work looks good, but I really think we should do a lumbar puncture since you cannot walk.

 

Me: (started crying) I'm scared to have that done

 

ER doc: It's ok sweetie, I know you are scared. I can give you something to relax you before the procedure.

 

Me: what would you give me?

 

ER doc:  Ativan
