But you and I, we must make an agreement to defy them. We must see all scars as beauty. Okay? This will be our secret. Because take it from me, a scar does not form on the dying. Their sweet indented petals, Coloured every shade of pink, Glowed so bright in that urban gloom They almost made me blink. They’d grown on Dad’s allotment – An expanse of air and sun – Along with fruits and vegetables He brought home for my Mum. Sweet Williams bring it home to me I’m still the child I used to be. ~Frances King http://pics.davesgarden.com/pics/2004/04/12/htop/d07b66.jpg Very nice, PD I love those flowers. OUR SCARS ARE THE STORY OF OUR LIVES! THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS. LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP...FLUTER P.S. I WATCHED A DOCU ABOUT BREAST CANCER SURVIVORS, AND DID YOU KNOW THAT A BIG PERCENTAGE OF THE WOMEN ARE NOW CHOOSING "NOT" TO HAVE IMPLANTS. MANY ARE GETTING BEAUTIFUL TATOOS TO MARK THEIR SCAR AND THEIR JOURNEY TO SURVIVE. I FOUND THAT TO BE INTERESTING, AND THEY ARE ALL SO BRAVE. THEY CALL IT "IN CELEBRATION OF SCARS". I CALL IT "IN CELEBRATION OF STRENGTH, BRAVERY, AND COURAGE!

They always show up around Mother's Day. I think that's very appropriate. I have a childhood memory of going in the woods to pick a big bouquet of them for my mom. I even have a picture of her holding them. YES...I definitely wish they lasted all summer! They are so beautiful and I love their smell. I don't know if we have bluebells. I don't remember seeing any. But they are very beautiful too! PD

Don't ask me why, but time has passed us by, some one else moved in from far away. Now we are tall, and Christmas trees are small, and you don't ask the time of day. But you and I, our love will never die, but guess we'll cry come first of May. The apple tree that grew for you and me, I watched the apples falling one by one. And I recall the moment of them all, the day I kissed your cheek and you were mine. When I was small, and Christmas trees were tall, do do do do do do do do do... Don't ask me why, but time has passed us by, some one else moved in from far away.

[pe...]
I'd Pick More Daisies By Nadine Stair, age 85 If I had my life to live over, I'd try to make more mistakes next time. I would relax. I would limber up. I would be sillier than I have on this trip. I would be crazier. I would be less hygienic. I would take more chances, I would take more trips. I would climb more mountains, swim more rivers, and watch more sunsets. I would burn more gasoline. I would eat more ice cream and less beans. I would have more actual troubles and fewer imaginary ones. You see, I am one of those people who lives prophylactically and sensibly and sanely, hour after hour, day after day. Oh, I have had my moments And if I had it to do over again, I'd have more of them. In fact, I'd try to have nothing else. Just moments, one after another. Instead of living so many years ahead each day. I have been one of those people who never go anywhere without a thermometer, a hot water bottle, a gargle, a raincoat, and a parachute. If I had to do it over again, I would go places and do things. I'd travel lighter than I have. If I had my life to live over, I would start barefooted earlier in the spring and stay that way later in the fall. I would play hooky more. I wouldn't make such good grades except by accident. I would ride on merry-go-rounds. I'd pick more daisies!

[Te...]
THANKS, PD!!! Ya know, i started out one year in our motor home to take a "some day/next time" trip...it was devoted to NO time schedule(well, 7 months), and no particular destination...and it was to stop where ever, when ever...AII THE PLACES WE ALWAYS PASSED, SAYING "y'know, next time i'm gonna stop in there..." Or, "next time, i think i'll take that side road and..."...and it was a great way to travel...got about 60 miles out of the driveway the first day, stayed for another day, and made twenty miles the third...took us two weeks to travel 800 miles...it was a wonderful way to travel, and I highly reccommend it...the majority of the long mile days(100-150 miles) were in west texas where it really doesn't change very fast...and shooting thru big towns where it's all the same on both sides and really compressed in the middle...and I picked bluebonnets, indian paintbrush, and cactus flowers(c a r e f u l l y)...tex

Walking in forests or on beaches, along hidden lakes, in latitudes sprinkled with ashes, you and I have picked up pieces of pure bark, pieces of wood subject to the comings and goings of water and weather. Out of such softened relics, then, with hatchet and machete and pocketknife, I built up these lumber piles of love, and with fourteen boards each I built little houses, so that your eyes, which I adore and sing to, might live in them. Now that I have declared the foundations of my love, I surrender this century to you: wooden sonnets that rise only because you give them life. - Pablo Neruda, 100 Love Sonnets
