Pets are so great. No explanations. Unconditional love. Do you have a cat or a dog?

 

I can't wait until I can curl up with a good book and read again. So cruel to be this sick and can't even have a book as comfort. I tell you, I will soooo appreciate the joy of reading a book when I can do it again.

 

I'm re-reading Robert Whitaker's "Anatomy of an Epidemic." But that's because the book saved my life. Brought me to my senses regarding these drugs.

 

But it's taking so long to get through it again.  Can't wait to read for the pure joy of it again.

 

Mind, I have so many books in my house it's incredible.      Love to read - used to read all the time.

Right now, I'm going to re-read The Little Prince - so many wonderful lessons in that book.

I have a stack of books on my nightstand that I've been staring at for about 6 months, one day I'll

get to them. 

 

I'm not familiar with the book you mention.  I'll check that out.   

 

To be able to read again and fully focus without having to re-read paragraphs will be cause for

celebration. 

 

Yes. I have a 2-yr-old dog.    He's funny; when I take a phone call, he actually gets jealous and will

whine for attention.

I have an Anatolian mix. She's 72 pounds of cuddly.

 

Whitaker's book is on the history of psychiatric medications and how we're now in an epidemic of mental illness that is probably caused by these very meds. He traces the medications history and chronicles the rise of disability and early death for people with schizophrenia and bipolar.

 

I didn't want to die 15 - 25 years earlier than other people. So I'm coming off the meds. He really makes a compelling argument.

 

Lexi is so cute when she's sleeping. She's totally worn out from the bark park.

I have a sheltie.    He's so loyal, so intelligent:  can wrap me and most others right around his paw.  haha

 

Mind, that book sounds fascinating.  I am going to get a copy of it - thank you, for telling me about it.

I will put my story together and post  about my situation with these medications; I'm also coming off;

I want to actually LIVE while I am ALIVE.      You understand what I mean.

Yes, laughter is wonderful!  I never fully appreciated what a gift it was until now! 

 

That is so great that you are sending those on to others who are now laughing, too!  The world just got brighter! 

 

Your Sheltie sounds sweet.  I can just see him cocking his head to one side and giving you a long stare!  We had a mix Border Collie/Australian Shepherd.  Herding dogs are wonderful!  You know, since he was as sweet as Chocolates and Cakes and as much fun as a Celebration... I think I can get away with posting you a photo of him here...
