I know what you mean about the simple things in life bringing so much joy. Just being able to meet a friend for coffee without feeling detached will be wonderful. So many things I'll appreciate once the dp/dr goes away.

Some amazing cooks in my family ( and I try ... haha). 

 

Another fantastic thing to make around the holidays are Melting Moment Cookies.

 

I make them almost every Christmas.    I make them with a cream cheese frosting (not the type of frosting

depicted in this photo)... but, they are amazingly good.

The chocolate cake was ace. I just had a teeny weeny taste plus a melting moment cookie. 

 

Need to get better for tomorrow. There is supposed to be a Mexican themed party here but not much sign of action yet.
