Question for the ladies - Urinary Alkalinizer

Has anyone out there in BB land had a bad experience with a Urinary Alkalinizer?  I have a urinary infection at present and will get to my doctor on Monday but the meantime I purchased a box of urinary alkalinizer sachets to help with the burning sensation.  Boy have my nerves been revved up since I took the first one pm today - heart palps, nervous system twitching - not pleasant.  Has anyone else experienced this?

I don't have experience with it during my taper, but I've used it before, and it's a life saver. I don't remember any side effects.  Hopefully someone else can give you some more feedback.

Thanks eljay.  I have stopped using the sachets as I got to my GP for antibiotics today.  Hopefully I won't have too many problems.  I have used the alkalinizers before and had no problems - might just be coincidence but it was too unpleasant to take the risk again.
