[Br...]
Hi @[Ra...] - The symptoms you describe are very common in benzo withdrawal. Over time these symptoms tend to ease up and fade away. Below is a section on these symptoms from The Ashton Manual Chapter III; Benzo Withdrawal Symptoms . (The list of symptoms includes a lot of common symptoms but it doesn't include all of them so don't be discouraged if you have a symptom you don't see on the list.) Withdrawal symptoms can really torment us but it can feel comforting to see your symptoms listed and know that the symptoms are experienced by a lot of people. Bodily Sensations All sorts of strange tinglings, pins and needles, patches of numbness, feelings of electric shocks, sensations of hot and cold, itching, and deep burning pain are not uncommon during benzodiazepine withdrawal. It is difficult to give an exact explanation for these sensations but, like motor nerves, the sensory nerves, along with their connections in the spinal cord and brain, become hyperexcitable during withdrawal. It is possible that sensory receptors in skin and muscle, and in the tissue sheaths around bones, may fire off impulses chaotically in response to stimuli that do not normally affect them. In my clinic, nerve conduction studies in patients with such symptoms revealed nothing abnormal – for example, there was no evidence of peripheral neuritis. However, the symptoms were sometimes enough to puzzle neurologists. Three patients with a combination of numbness, muscle spasms and double vision were diagnosed as having multiple sclerosis. This diagnosis, and all the symptoms, disappeared soon after the patients stopped their benzodiazepines.

[he...]
Hi @[Ra...] Yes, I've heard of many other people experiencing something similar and it got better for them, and it will for you too in time as long as you remain drug-free. I understand thinking it will never end, as I often do the same at nearly 12 months off Klonopin (clonazepam) with a few remaining sxs.

Help Sorry I didn't see this before, but Magnesium supplement has helped me a lot, this is what I believe. Also nutrition change, went low carb. I had a lot of leg and foot cramps, wake me at night, or just when I was trying to sleep. I was also diagnosed with T2 Diabetes. I added the mag. early on just as the Citrate form. It worked, but recently I wanted to Glycinate for sleep. If you want to know more, in Health Matters board we can talk further about "alternative medicine", supplements etc Also, I had the whole left side of my body go numb after a cold-turkey off the C I've taken many years. All that went away except a tiny bit of tingling and numbness in left arm, but it's better all the time, oregonlady~Denise PS the leg cramps felt like my muscles were going to crawl out of my legs, it was scary, but I don't get any now, and the sharp pains in my toes are totally gone as well.
