[ne...]
I've been prescribed klonopin for over twenty five years, and have never abused them and been on the same dose the entire time. The last couple of years I have been enjoying a few beers two or three times a week. I recently decided to stop using alcohol in preparation for a taper off the benzo's. Since then I've noticed what might be mild withdrawal symptoms. Is this something anyone else has encountered? Does benzodiazepines and alcohol effect the same receptors in the brain? [Br...]
Hello and welcome to BenzoBuddies @[ne...]! Can you tell us what symptoms you've been having? 10 hours ago, [[n...] said: Does benzodiazepines and alcohol effect the same receptors in the brain? We know that like benzos, alcohol acts on GABA receptors. Alcohol is sometimes referred to colloquially as "benzos in liquid form".
