I just discovered this thread.  I'm on music community's for this type thing, but I'll take part.

This is not at all my typical listening.  More usual listens are Oasis, Depeche Mode, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Garbage, INXS, Metric, Jesus and Mary Chain Goo Goo Dolls, Fastball, The Smithereens & early 2000s garage rock, i.e. The Libertines, Babyshambles, The Vines, Jet, The Strokes, Razorlight, Kaiser Chiefs, The Kooks.  Basically, I enjoy good melodies, good beats!  This past week, I guess I've required more comforting.  I'm listening to Robbie Williams.  He's actually an amazing live performer w/an incredible voice!  I always prefer live recordings & have a good collection of high-quality label soundboard bootlegs.
