The Best Neil Young cover of that song that I'd heard. I still have enough brain power to play it on the keyboard, thanks God. I like to play that song kind of slow with a bit of improvisation. Kind of fits it really, really well. Yes, "Live Rust" is one of the first life changing vinyls that I'd borrowed from a friend as 17 yo. And it was that song that captured me more than anything on it. Later on, I came to appreciate "Powderfinger" and "Cortez the killer" a great deal....

 

I honestly miss my pre-Ativan keyboard skills. It wasn't exactly the best technique, but the ability to improvise/arrange was great.

I hear ya.  I miss my band days and songwriting skills so much.  All my creativity has come to a screeching halt.  But yes, that cover is the best of Neil Young’s song.  Their version of Bruce Springsteen’s “I’m On Fire” is fucking stellar, too.  And Ceremony.  Love Chromatics!
