I am now able to leave the house on my own two feet and even managed to walk to the hairdresser on Tuesday and get my hair cut. It is like getting out of prison after being bedridden and housebound for 21 very long months (27 months off). I am spending less time on the forum because I am busy doing other things such as writing my life story. I hope everyone continues to heal and I hope sometimes there might be time for a little celebration. The critters and I are currently on a world crooze, hence the fireworks in Sydney. Hugs to all my friends and buddies and especially to those of you who made this thread such fun. Fiona :smitten: Such, such amazing news, Fiona! So very, very happy to hear you're getting up and about finally and now getting a little taste of what true healing feels like! Just awesome, really! I have to tell you how much this thread has meant to me! It truly was the highlight of my days whilst I was so deep in withdrawal ... to come here and immediately have this big grin on my face ... playing the fool with my main girls, You, Mind and LM .... and Bads and all the other fun folks who dropped by to join us and have some crazy fun and celebrations and those wild, wild parties!!! Is it really normal for grown women to have that much fun digging up critter memes and tagging along with them on such adventures ... and you, Ms Fiona, certainly had me chasing my tail many, many times, didn't you now? Helicopters, trains, planes, autos, boats, bicycles, you name it, we did it .... from cats and pigs and dogs, to donkeys and monkeys and frogs, we did it all! It's bitter sweet to see this wonderful thread winding down, I so hope others will come along and enjoy it as much as I know we all did! I miss you all so much, really I do. LM, so nice to see you dropping in every so often and happy you're moving forward all the time. I miss my girl Mind terribly! The critters are very sad about the thread winding down but they are busy just now on a world critter cruise aboard the "Rubber Ducky" currently in port at Sydney, Australia. I had to pop home to see to a few things but will be rejoining them soon! There are loads of critter parties on board I can tell you. ;D I had such a wonderful time on this thread and it gave me such a boost when I was very very ill. Laughing so much in the midst of pain and suffering, it was all a little bit crazy. Sadly, as I get better, the craziness is diminishing and I am reverting to being a bit more normal. Who needs normal? Much better to be a bit crazy, for sure. Yes, soon be time for anniversaries again so we can have a few little celebrations. I miss Mind very much too and just hope she is doing well. i am sure she would come back if she was struggling. Thanks for all the cakes. Yummy. I have been out this past week and had a real coffee and a real cake in a restaurant. Wonderful but not quite as much fun as being here.
