Heart Palpitrations

[Lo...]

Recommended Posts

i used to get heart palpitations and a racy pulse feeling when i first began my taper. but i found that if i went for a good walk ( scary to do at first ) and got 'in the zone' with a good sweat going, by the time i was finished 50 or so minutes later, the palps were gone and everything was back to normal. now i rarely get them anymore.

get rushed to the hospital a few times with tachycardia and be converted and you'll be begging for a beta blocker

Probaly not a good idea to assume you know anything about my medical history.  One good reason why is because beta blockers could kill me in certain situations.  So, please don't tell me I'll be begging for them in an ambulance one day, as I definitely won't be. :)

See what I mean about the precriptive posting-style?  You need to change that approach.

one needs to be reasoned and considered in this taper and post taper, a firm stance is great for crusading but potentially dangerous

I don't understand what this means.

you also advocate the avoidance of anti seizure medications when indicated as prudent by medical protocol?

Do I?  News to me!

I have cursed beta blockers for years and have many times cautioned or advised against their inclusion in various treatments but by God their most certainly is a place for them.

Of course there's a place for them, but you're not the medical pofessional of the people you're telling to "take them or shut up", you're making potantially dangerous claims and acting contrary to forum's guidelines.

You really could do with altering the way you aproach some people about medical issues and medicines.

This is me giving you a friendly headsup because the whole team has noticed it, mentor.  It'd help if you followed the guidance in the link I provided in my last post.

B :)

First off, I did not tell you or anyone to take a beta blocker. Do I really need to again submit that post?

Next, I did not prescribe. Please review. I am tired of this from you.

Why you can't understand this I can't say. Maybe ask someone at home to explain it to you. It is important for them to read it in context.

Next. When you see this symbol, ?, it means someone has asked a question, they have not made a statement. Failing to understand this will of course derail the conversation. I would also ask the person who is going to help you to follow this dialogue to explain to you what a rhetorical question is.

You can please stop quoting me out of context. It is the intentional misinterpretation of what I said that enabled you to get on your high horse which is what this is really about.

Sorry I had to break your horse's legs, you looked so good up there, to yourself.

I don't see the word mod next to your name and you know what

I am done... I don't need this

most folks here have no clue and I am gonna get grief from some random poster posting as a mod?

that too is rhetorical

btw did anyone notice that in addition to being quoted out of context intentionally by you every post has a disclaimer?

yeah, you are catching on rhetorical

bye

Your posts, many of them, are very prescriptive where you "tell" a member what to do. In addition you also trivialize some of the symptoms that members are suffering from. No matter what the symptom is, each member deserves compassion and empathy during what can be a difficult and painful process.  You are not an expert, no one here is, we are all on equal footing. I believe that you were given the  link to forum policy about prescriptive writing, here it is once again:

Guidelines about the giving of Medical Advice

Please familiarize yourself with this, we expect all members to follow forum rules and guidelines. No one is exempt.

Come on, these comments are derogatory and unnecessary. Benzoid was simply pointing out to you, several times, how the nature of your comments are not within what is acceptable. If it was a one time issue, we would most likely leave it alone. However, you continue to post in a manner that is prescriptive and many times, very unsupportive. Benzoid is not acting alone, this has been discussed among the team, he is simply relaying the message.

Benzoid is hardly a random poster posing as a moderator.  While his official title is Documentation Specialist, he is a also a member of the moderation team.  His help is valued by all of us here.

While we are understanding how withdrawal can affect how people act and react to others, there is a limit as to what is acceptable. This issue needed to be addressed.

I have this heart racing sx as well and it is terrifying.

Even at rest my heart rate is over 100.

Just even waking around can drive it up to 130 or more.

I have had tachycardia episodes and it is terrifying.

Is this even normal to have such a high heart rate in wd.

I can barely walk around the house without my Bp and heart rate spiking.

I am currently doing a 48 hour holt monitor.

I don't know what to do because I am terrified that this will never go away or that there is something seriously wrong.

Please offer your experiences.

Also my racing heart can stay like this all day at between 110 and 120 when resting.

Do you feel anxious when you are at rest?  When I wore my heart monitor, I found that I could increase my pulse significantly just by allowing myself to think 'intrusive' thoughts.  I could (almost as easily) bring my pulse down by being mindful.  fwiw - my resting pulse has stayed pretty constant at 52 throughout this ordeal (as long as I am relaxed physically and mentally).
