Maintaining at 1 mg Ativan in preparation to taper NeW

Hi,

 

New person wants to know what is the best way to take 1 mg . half morning half at night or all in the morning or all at night?

I think a short acting benzo like Ativan is best taken in at least two doses.  Just my opinion as a former Ativan user.

Joy...I did direct taper off of 1mg of Ativan....I greatly recommend dividing it into 4 equal parts and dosing each 4-5 hours...ativan can have brutal interdose s/x...also ..psychologically if you are having s/x it is much easier to crawl through 4 hours to the next dose as opposed to touching it out for 8 hours...when I was at mid- taper it saved me some misery to go 4 hours to 4 hours ...and my taper turned a corner once I split my daily dosage into 4 parts. ..good luck
