General Anesthesia

Wondering if anyone here has had surgery while in withdrawal.  I need to go in for some and freaking out about this. I have come a long way since the start of my withdrawal and don't really want to get more messed up.  Anyone been in my shoes?

welcome to the forum.

I have not personally, but I do know of one former member(now gone) who did, and he did fine. You should probably mention to the anesthesiologist that you are withdrawing from benzo. You might get an alternate pre anesthetic. But if not, a one time dose should do you no harm. I haven't read your other posts so do not know if you are done with your benzo or still tapering.
