Highlights

Artesunate rescues gephyrin and GABAAR γ2 subunit expression in the hippocampus of a mouse AD-model.

Artesunate reduces the formation of APP-CTFs.

Low doses of artemisinin and artesunate reduce the number of amyloid plaques.

In vitro nanomolar artesunate treatment of hAPPswe expressing hippocampal neurons reduces CTFs.

Need to read and understand in depts how It affects the gabaergic receptors and gabaergic signaling, given that It also inhibits Pyridoxal kinase inhibition by artemisinins down-regulates inhibitory neurotransmission

This might play a role in restoring the inhibitory potential but might or might not cause anxiety, and maybe could be overcame by using something else

Might help with neuropathy, but idk How It feels to take, usually i dont like glutamate antagonist, but It might bê diffrent with artesunate,

That’s all very interesting. Are you to the point of trialing it yourself?

I’ve wondered if impairment of the glycine receptor system might be mixed up in BIND, and it looks Artesunate might address that.  I wonder if Artemisinin would have the same effect. Less bioavailable but easier to get and less concerns with toxicity I think.

I started taking taking artemisinin about 2 years ago on and off. It doesn't do anything other than giving me sleep issues on days I take it.

@[4M...] I guess its diffrent, similar but still diffrent, that goes for artemisin, arthemeter, artesunate, other analogues, @[Na...]yep im willing to try It in low doses , buying It from índia soon

It explains more about its toxicity profile, between 1.75 mg/kg and 4mg/kg seems to be less toxic, dose dependant toxicity, its not liver friendly like niclosamide, so better keeping an eye doing tests
