[Li...]
If the reference to the PROTECT study rings a bell …. The goal of the study is to identify the Top 10 priorities for future research about reducing and stopping psychiatric medications, including benzodiazepines. It is being conducted by researchers at Trinity College Dublin. You may have participated in the first phase of study when the research team collected questions that individuals with lived experience, family members, friends, carers/supporters, and mental healthcare professionals had about reducing/stopping psychiatric medications. These questions were then checked against existing evidence to see if they had already been answered or were unanswered. In this second phase, you will be asked to select the 10 unanswered questions (out of 32 identified) you think are most important for future research. The online survey is anonymous and should take just 10-15 minutes to complete. Members of BenzoBuddies frequently lament the paucity of research about reducing/stopping benzodiazepines. This is your opportunity to shape the research agenda by identifying the questions that are most important to you as an individual with lived experience!
