Sticking with the theme from @[Na...]'s post, this Tom and Jerry classic:

Perhaps someone can tell me the pieces of music used.

The one I always think in this genre is "What's Opera Doc?", based mostly on Wagner's Ring Cycle (Der Ring des Nibelungen).

The first cartoon, Can't Stop Conducting, uses the overture from Die Fledermaus, by Johann Strauss II.
The second one, Concert Madness, uses Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No.2

I don't think any animation was used in 2001. I think it was all camera rostrum work with miniatures, full-scale sets, and special effects. Irrespective, some of the best sequences in cinema ever created, and music was perfect.
