Has anyone gotten a high heart rate after having covid? I’m struggling with this. Anything helps.

Maybe look into magnesium or Taurine...

There are many buddies with elevated heart rate before during and after covid. Mine ran around 114. Dr gave me 25mg Atenolol once daily. Elevated heart rate lasted about 4 months then suddenly dropped to 62 and Dr discontinued atenolol and now it's about 78.

It’s POTS. Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome.

Need to see a specialist.

Every persons POTS is different, so treatment depends on your physiological make up.

Yup, unfortunately for me, I got covid shortly before my taper ended, so it's hard to tell what's caused what.  But I developed heart irregularities, not afib, but PVCs and PACs.  Plus high-low blood pressure and O2 extremes, which sometimes caused brief dizziness.  Mostly it's settled down now, except my pulse jumps up with the slightest exertion (like going up one flight of stairs.)  But if exertion is continued (like on a hike) my pulse steadies into a sustainable rhythm.

Yes! I had tachycardia (155 bpm at times) during Covid and after. My withdrawal was brutal with rapid heart rate. I believe it is worsened by POTS. Look into that as well like another poster mentioned. Lying on your side can help.

Did this go away for you? How are you doing now?
