Does any one know of a psychiatrist/MD in Bangalore or India who is aware of the ashton manual and benzo withdrawals? I am on benzos for about a year and would like to work with a provider to safely taper down. Thanks.

Hello dangerous007, welcome to BenzoBudddies,

We don’t keep a list of doctors but this organization does. https://www.benzoinfo.com/

I’m doubtful you’ll find help with this list, but if you have a supply of benzodiazepines from your medical practitioner, we can help you design a taper, you’ll just need to start a thread on this board. http://www.benzobuddies.org/forum/index.php?board=56.0

Let us know how we can help.

Hello dangerous007

You could ask your own doctor!  Copy a few relevant pages from the Ashton and ask if she will support a slow taper.  I hope she helps, slow is the best way with these drugs.  You will get plenty of encourgaement and support here to help you through it.

Magrita

I talked to my pdoc at St John's Hospital, Bangalore. She is aware of the Ashton manual but wants me to taper Etizolam without switching to Diazepam.
