Laying down ramps up symptoms

I'm new to this group. I have been off benzo 10 months. My question is why do my symptoms ramp up when I lay down. I have to be horizontal because I can't sit up for to long. I have been like this for almost 3 years. Terrible brain sensations, tinnitus, left side of head feels like its in a machine machine. Every afternoon and night this goes on. Any answers please?

Hi appleeater There is no rhyme or reason in benzo w/d, just have to go with the flow and deal with the symptoms as best we can.  I had some strange symptoms, weird head stuff.  I know how miserable this is, but we don't have much choice. My symptoms started when I reached tolerance level, years before I even started my taper. I had no clue then what was happening to me, my doctors said it was all in my head or I was over anxious. Thankfully it all went away but it took a while.

 

Healing is happening even though it does not seem like it, you will get better with more time.
