Anyone have any success with gabapentin or Lyrica?

Have tried cold turkey and long tapers more over a half a dozen times with no success. Just too painful for too long for me. Been on klonopin.5 2x a day for 40 years. It still works pretty good with maybe a small amount of tolerance withdrawal. I heard some really rough tolerance withdrawal stories from my last post that scared me. So I am trying to prepare a plan with some assistance from medication. Anyone have success substituting or adding medication to help with withdrawal? Possibly gabapentin or Lyrica or anything else that might help. If one worked I would even consider changing over to it and staying on it for life as I am 63 and on the last quarter of my life. I've suffered through most of my life and absolutely refuse to spend any more years of whatever time that I have left, suffering. Thanks for any help
