SSRIs benefits or go without???

I jumped off xanax 10 weeks ago and am currently taking Buspar for GAD. My physical symptoms are very minimal now but my waves can cause some fear/anxiety and I am wondering if adding Zoloft would help.

 

I was previously prescribed Zoloft when I started taking Xanax in 2017, but after about 3 weeks I stopped taking Zoloft as I didn't feel it was doing much for me. I now know I didn’t give the medication enough time to reach peak effectiveness.

 

If you have taken Zoloft, how did it help or hinder you? Do you still take it? If not, how do you feel after coming off of it?

 

My biggest concern is starting an SSRI then trying to come off of it… don’t want to relive hell.

Adding any med has been bad news for me personally and I wish I had never touched any psych meds.
