Strong depression on benzos, during taper and months after jumping?

My brain is trying to tell me this isn’t benzo withdrawal. I noticed my depression worsened the longer I was on benzos, came to a head at the end and on my taper, and still remains 8+ months out. Is this normal? Can anyone else relate?? I have yet to have a window. I would KILL for a morning window.

I can totally relate. I would kill for a window as well. I wasnt depressed when I began this journey. I was actually hopeful and looking towards a life free of the drug. But as the recovery had drawn on I have started to lose that hope and drive and now I am just depressed. I fight every day to maintain a positive attitude but I fail. I just beed a break.

Anyone?? Depression caused by benzos, all throughout taper, AND off of them after jumping?
