If you get depression from w/d then an antidepressant should help, right?

So, I met with my psychiatrist yesterday and she wants to reduce the Pristiq down to 25mg. I am going to try that and see how I feel.

Please say some prayers.

I had severe depressions and no AD could help. Although I was put on 1001. Then they added other things and then benzos. Wonderful cycle.

 

I learned: There are strategies to cope with depression, no matter why we have it. So, if you think you need to do something, try a therapy, but a more behavioral and not analyzing one (we have this separation in Germany I dont know how it is in your country).

 

What I learned in my therapies helped me a lot for my "chemical depression" in withdrawal.

As long as you are not getting convinced by a therapist to have deeper issues its fine!

I would look for anything that helps me to survive this hard time, like "accompanying measures".

 

But overall you have now an important learning: Getting into panic and taking a new drug did not help.

So why trying another drug and continue like this..
