Tapering Lorazepam with LC / ME/CFS

Are there others here experiencing severe long COVID or ME/CFS and currently withdrawing from Lorazepam?

I've been put on it to alleviate symptoms of fatigue, MCAS, and dysautonomia.

Whenever I try to microtaper, my dysautonomia, MCAS symptoms, pain, fatigue, insomnia and brain inflammation worsen to intolerable levels.

I'm seeking advice and ideas on how to effectively manage these symptoms.

I have recently been researching LDN (low dose naltrexone) for multiple reasons, including CFS.

Perhaps Google it & do a search here.

I took lorazepam & I have had CFS & am prone to relapses. Lorazepam was given for anxiety, initially helped then I ran into interdose issues. It no longer was of benefit & actually caused fatigue which is confusing when CFS is an underlying problem. Have you considered crossing to valium?

thank you for both of your messages.

@[Ma...] LDN didn't work for me unfortunately.

@[Ka...] yes I have tried but Valium has no effect on me. Interesting to hear how differently the Lorazepam affects us.

Ah. Sorry those idea’s aren’t useful! There is no one size for all.
Hopefully, you may get responses from those in the LC/ME/CFS lorazepam predicament. Wish you well.

Please explain what do your abbreviations mean ? What is MCAS, dysautonomia, ME/CFS ?
