[Be...]
Every person's case is different. Some ppl. have cog. decline for other reasons, too. I've been diagnosed with other diseases, as well, which affect brain functioning: Lupus, hypothyroidism, Thrombophilia. Also had previous brain damage from illicit drug abuse and alcohol. I think I've got alot of things working against me. I had cog problems before the benzo's and using and getting off them made it worse.
[Ph...]
<<"....with $33.2 million from the National Institute on Aging (NIA), part of the National Institutes of Health..."> Whenever I see this kind of statement associated with a study that concludes that benzodiazepines do NOT contribute to a given condition, I read no further. The study results, at least for me, become meaningless. It's like listening to a political candidate. I know from the outset that the results are tainted and skewed.
