This one, I am sending to my son, away at college. He will love it. I keep close by texting or emailing him quotes. Just a few, not overload though, he'd get cranky about that!

I also tend to email my son too many Health related articles, you know...about eating right, exercise, etc. I need to reign it in sometimes! I feel like Im still trying to mother him thru email cause he's left the nest and I still have stuff to tell him...I wasnt done being MOM!  :'(

I found a card inscribed with this poem and sent it to my son the week after we dropped him off at college. I was ok after a while. Ive gotten used to it, but boy, it hit me like a lightening bolt to the heart on our way home.  :'( But I know that if I can get through That, I can surely get through this benzo taper!

I know exactly how feel.  When I dropped my son off at college, it left me alone and stunned.

I've cried many tears missing him; yet I know he is getting on with his life.

It's such an adjustment for a parent/for a mom.

It is a challenging journey, every step of it, but with each step we get closer to our goals. 

With the changes of life ever upon us, it is constant adaptation.  I'm grateful that I am

able to let go of the tears - or emotions I am feeling.    There have been times when I

have felt absolutely numb; going through this journey is like having a curtain lifted and

finally feeling the emotions and then expressing them.

It is so hard to keep being patient. It seems to be getting harder as I feel better. Just want to get back to  normal.

 

Why the rush? I don't know really. I miss my friends and family.  Fed up being alone. (Sorry Mensa Cat!!)

 

I have nothing to complain about really. Pain all gone. Comfy in my bed. Not lonely most of the time.

 

Just want to use my brain and my body again!! Travel, go swimming, enjoy life. Sigh!!

Surely, your impatience is indicative of your healing.  I will be so happy for you when you start to travel again and get out to do the things that bring joy.
