In this video, Dr. Josef Witt-Doerring interviews Dr. Christy Huff (medical director of the Benzodiazepine Information Coalition) about her benzodiazepine taper.  Christy used a variety of methods. She began by switching from Xanax/alprazolam to Valium/diazepam per the Ashton Manual.  Next, she did a cut and hold taper using her own ‘taper as tolerable’ schedule.  For the final phase of her taper, she did a microtaper using the ‘shave and weigh’ reduction technique and a flexible taper interval.
