You'll Never Walk Alone is from the 1945 Rodgers & Hammerstein
musical Carousel. The Liverpool band Gerry and the Pacemakers
had a hit with the song in 1963, and thereafter the song became
the anthem of the Liverpool Football club.
This music video was made in 2013, showing various people from
around Liverpool singing the song. Many of them probably had no
idea where the song came from. There's a story, which I prefer to
believe, of some people, after seeing a performance of Carousel in
Liverpool, remarking how nice it was that the producers actually
managed to work their football club's anthem into the play.
