Did anyone notice a difference in symptoms if they improved their diet and exercise?  What about quitting smoking?

Hello!

In my case I had to quit smoking because it made my nausea way worse. Also made my anxiety and intrusive thoughts worse.

I am trying to do joga breathing excersises - it works for me.

Glad you asked - this is such an important topic that I don't think is talked about nearly enough. YES - Changing one's diet is arguably one of THE most impactful things we can do during WD. Just in the last week I've cut sugar, gluten, coffee and dairy - and my WD symptoms are LITERALLY 75% more manageable/easier. I’m trying my darndest to stick to fruit, veg and fish. So far this has been TREMENDOUSLY helpful.

Although I’m not a smoker, I used to be. I would imagine, that smoking cessation would positively help the WD process given nicotine is a nightshade (inflammation) and also impacts the CNS. Hang in there!
