YES - Changing one's diet is arguably one of THE most impactful things we can do during WD. Just in the last week I've cut sugar, gluten, coffee and dairy - and my WD symptoms are LITERALLY 75% more manageable/easier. I’m trying my darndest to stick to fruit, veg and fish. So far this has been TREMENDOUSLY helpful. Although I’m not a smoker, I used to be. I would imagine, that smoking cessation would positively help the WD process given nicotine is a nightshade (inflammation) and also impacts the CNS. Hang in there!
