Topiramate- do I give it a try?

My neurologist has prescribed me Topiramate to help with my tension headaches and light headedness. I’m nervous to try any more meds but desperate for some support as I further decrease my taper. thoughts and advice needed thank you.

Topirmate can cause weight loss and memory loss. Have you considered Amitriptyline? It not only helps with head pressure/migraines but is also a light antidepressant and can help a bit with anxiety. The side effect profile is much lower and it’s more ‘subtle’…

It will help you sleep. It may give you depression. Especially a dose above 25 mg. It may make you unmotivated. It does help headaches. There are also capsules of 15 mg available.
