orginal symptoms rebound x100 and OCD like thoughts that don't stop?

I was put on this cos of OCD like thoughts, fear/panic attacks. Now I'm in withdrawal, everything seems 100 times worse. Is this common? I can't seem to talk to my brain and rationlise things. I have to just breath and 'get through'. I get bodily pain after adrenalin surges. So i Just try to remember I can cope. But it seems to be getting worse. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Benzo tolerance and withdrawal make our original issues so much worse!  I took the drug for sleep and of course, it robbed me of that.  But it gave me anxiety and I've never had that before so its the gift that gives much more misery than it fixes.

 

What tools have you used in the past to help when panic and fear sets in?  It sounds like you use breathing, what else?
