[Da...]
I was hoping to get some suggestions. I take clonazepam 1mg twice daily, long-term user. I have 1mg, .5mg, and 0.125mg tablets to use for the taper. What would be the best schedule or method for getting off of this medication slowly and with minimal side effects? What should I Expect? Thanks D
[ha...]
One idea might be to start with taking 0.875mg in the morning and 1mg at night and stay there for a week or so (total 1.875mg per day). This might help you understand how you're affected by symptoms and help you create a plan going forward. I found that "cut and hold" works best for me, but you'll see a lot of members who prefer daily microcuts. Good luck!

[pi...]
Hello Danko, Clonazepam is a pretty strong benzo so I would make sure the reductions stay small, within the 5-10% guidelines. I agree with reducing the morning dose first. Let us know how things go. pianogirl
